@gedsace .i know for a fact that THE FLUID, another subpop band, listened to the spiders beacause they turned me on to the lime. so i would not be a bit surprised if they told cobain about them too!
the saints were the one who led me down the path of great ausi tunesradio birdman, lipstick killersthe psychotic turnbuckles, exploding white mice, the celibate rifles, lizard train
@spongeyman123 - he he, i'm the chick with the shocking blonde hair in the white top & yellow skirt, @ 2.27mins....now 39. It was filmed @ Arndale (now Forestway Shops), & it used to get played on Nighmoves/shift? in the mid 80's ;o)
One of Australias best bands, the live stuff was shot at Promises at the Sylvania Hotel.I was there- over 800 people rocked in a venue that legally should have held only 300 max!! Now thats real rock n Roll!! It was packed, loud and bloody amazing!!! Long live the Lime Spiders!!!
The Chief was arguably one of the greatest bass players in Australia rock history, not to mention a Dallas buff and a pro-wrestling fan. Many a great night on tour when I was tour manager for a while and some great parties when Chief used to live at my place - 705 rules!
Saw these guys with The Celibate Rifles and Soggy Porridge in the early 80's at the Chevron rock room in the cross. Awesome night ! One I still remember

Check out "nothin" by the Ugly Ducklings circa 1966 (97 remix) similar but both are great.
