Oh my gosh! I feel so stupid asking you in a comment to your first part to elaborate on your basting wall.................and there is all the info. Love this idea. Will definately be a time saver, save my knees and my back!
wow this is you are a genius!!! Oh wow your videos helped me so much, I am a armature and just am delighted to see your video on spray basting. Patsy I love your work!

I wonder what I could use to attach the ceiling tiles instead of caulk.? To make them removable? Could the ceiling tile wall be used as a cork board ?
Sorry...I created the spray basting wall because all the other ways I knew to baste took a long time and were a pain in the neck! I'd keep looking for other brands of basting spray if you can't find 505 in your country.
The basting wall is made of ceiling tiles that are attached to the wall using an all-purpose caulk. All these supplies can be found at your local home improvement store. There is no "pattern" to make the basting wall. There is a short tutorial about how we did it on the DVD called "Fast and Free Volume 0.5." Other than that, the only other place that we've put information out about creating the spray basting wall is in the free video tutorial about spray basting.
I love all of the information you are providing in these tutorials! They are so helpful that I actually signed up for a You tube account so I could comment...lol...I have asked about the basting sprays, and most of the feedback I get is, "don't use them". I am so glad to have found your information, I ordered the 505 spray, and with my hubby, will be making myself a "basting wall" tomorrow! I can't wait to get started quilting all of the quilts I have waiting...Thank you again!
Thank you for this! I just finished my very first quilt top today for my baby girl and I didn't know to baste at all so the layers are all skewed now after sewing. Guess who's making friends with the seam ripper tomorrow? :/
Thanks for some great ideas!

I never tried this method, but I did try the batting that you iron and stick...what a mess. I wondered if the spray would gum up your needle?

Great videos. What are you using on your cutting table as a mat?

I use both Olfa cutting mats and Fiskars cutting mats. I've found that they both hold up well to years of cutting fabric and paper.
