I remember getting the kill shot, and feeling happy with myself. Of course, I was not expecting the cannon ball at the end to fire at the rate of speed that it did and bam, I died. Close, but no cigar, huh? I actually prefered DKC3, but a close second would have to be this one. One of the top 10 best SNES games. EVER.

When I played the first one, I thought it was the best one of the trilogy. But finishing this one... I was blown away, it exceeded all expectations. Everything was nearly perfect: the level design, the music, the difficulty, the variety of levels... everything. And it was one of the best games to play back then and still is today.

I still play it on my SNES for hours upon hours and Donkey Kong Country 2 is one of the most solid SNES games to this day and it never gets old.

@Thenintendo64Guy1992 Actually, the bad guy's name is Captain K. Rool (on the first game he was King K. Rool) but yes I agree, it was very funny seeing Donkey Kong's eyes. I also love it when he punches him like he was saying and thinking "I've had enough of this watching you trying to kill Diddy and Dixie." Of course, if he was going to punch Captain K. Rool, he should have done that in the beginning by breaking out of those ropes, where Diddy and Dixie wouldn't of had to fight him.

Kaptain K rool was badass, they couldn't beat him. they knocked him down and he just got up a second later, all they could do was punch him away in the end. He even came back in the secret final level thing after surviving an 80ft fall, making him even more badass

The Snes games are the best DKC and DKC2 are my favourite Nintendo games, when I reached Kaptain K. Rool my cousin erased the whole game it took me a year to get to the last level and unfortunately to this day I have not yet reached K. That's good. SNES is an awsome system. I have the Mini version. I got that in 2005 off of Amazon and it's still in very good condition. The games I have for mine are the original Mega Man X, original F-Zero, Super Mario All Stars, Super Metroid, and Super Star Wars. I do plan on getting some more games for it sometime in the future though.
