At the minute 2:21 you can see the disfigured face of Paul McCartney or 2:22 in the left window of the police car, i think that he had blood in the image (in his mouth and in his nose)
I love the way the video traces all the Beatles work (the nurse, the banker, the barber,in Penny Lane) the cake shop with a happy 64th birthday. Strawberry Field, Ravi Shankar,Elanor Rigby,s grave and Father Mackenzie walking away wiping his hands.
Paul dancing to a background of the mull of Kintyre.
and at the end the most famous crossing in the world Abbey Road.
The words at 1:46 to 2:11 alwasy makes me think, when they got older and started to break up and they got into drugs and were not "the mop-top Beatles" anymore...
I wonder how accurate the depiction of Beatles era Liverpool is in this video, but I love this video because that aspect is so fascinating to me! What was it like living in Beatles time in Liverpool?! This video shows a glimpse of that!!! Lovely, but such a sad video!!
ha ha. it sort of does look like that. i hope you don't actually believe the 'paul is dead' crap, though... it's histerically messed up stupidity, lol.
Ah a favourite song of mine,I remember when it was released everyone was slagging the song off saying it was rubbish compared to the rest of their stuff but this song is just as good and has and will last the test of time.
I thought I was the ultimate YouTube addict...having watched something like 12,541,298,069 videos, but this one takes the cake. My life is now complete.
I was a boy in primary school in St Annes on Sea Lancashire at this time period and a Beatles fan so the street life is a sentimental trip back in time. Very well done video in homage to the beatles. They did the best they could with Johns left cassette demo.
Yes it is meant to be George Formby, George Harrison was a fan. In 1936 Formby lived in St Annes Lancs. My mother was walking 4 dogs on the beach and a stray scotty followed them home. The collar tag said it was George Formbys so she took it to his house on Clifton Drive on the waterfront.
It's unusual for a song to be both creepy AND boring, but this pulls it off. Just plain wrong on so many levels, as they say; never shouldda happened.
The first time I saw this video I got goose bumps at 4:18. The car that is passing through is further in the background on the album cover, so they are just about to walk across the road as the camera pulls away. It's so cool.
this is great to see younger kids into the beatles...I'm no adult or expert by any means (I'm 19) but the beatles were/are revolutionary in every sense of the word. My parents did the best thing in letting me run around to abbey road when I was 2 years old...and its impacted my life ever since :)

Paul found this song by John Lennon. Him, George and Ringo did some major studio dubbing and turned it into a Beatle song. Just breathtaking to someone like me that grew up on Beatle music in the 60's. Plus, just having the 26th anniversary of John's death just sort of made me all sentimental and all....Best band of all time, bar none!
"26 years ago today we lost a legend. This is of course the last original Beatles song ever released. From 1996 this is Free as a bird on today's best classic rock, Q-107 fm"
Sorry to barge in the conversation. I discovered the Beatles a scarce two weeks ago and the effect the music had on me is amazing. Their lyrics stab my senses and fuel my imagination. err... that came out a little dramatic.. haha
Exactly, how old are you? If you don't mind me asking. I have 2 boys that are in their teens and as much as they DON'T want to admit it, they love the BEATLES! I raised them on the BEATLES, as I was raised on them. I remember, when they were still together, and when they broke up..If you really like them, have you listened to their solo stuff, it's just as amazing! Enjoy...The rest of your life will be one awesome JOURNEY..Now, that's another awesome group! LOL
Haha. I'm 15. No , I have yet to listen to their solo work. JOURNEY? That sounds vaguely familar. Are they one of those cheesy 80s band that garned cult status by wearing buttless bottoms? Much lulz , Becca.
So what's wrong with somebody calling this the greatest Beatles song ever? And who cares how it was made? As for me, the fact that they got together and made one last great song with John after he died is part of its beauty.
Mugufugu STFU go listen to you bands who cant sing, write a song of this caliber. You have to be idiot to say that, its a good song not there best, video def was fantastic love it. Not the original Cavern though. The original was demolished in the 70s. The one filmed for this music video is the one you can visit today and it's a copy.
Those of us who had the Beatles in our lives from their start will always miss them, and this is a fitting coda to the greatest band that ever was. It made me cry the first several times I saw it, too. Guess I'm just a sentimental old fool (not really!) I think it is sad that there aren't musicians of their caliber on the radio today. At least I haven't heard any lately...
A great band doing something like this is fraught with danger but it totally works and is a fantastic coda to the biggest phenomenon in English popular culture since Shakespeare
The bridge sounds a lot like "Remember Walking in the Sand" by the Shangri-Las. "Whatever happended to/The boy that I once knew" vs. "Whatever happened to/The life that we once knew". The Shangri-Las should sue.
The similarities are noted in the book called "Revolution in the Head", which is a great commentary on all the songs the Beatles released. I think we should let it pass though, since Lennon wrote the words in the 70s and is no longer available to be sued.
This video and song give me goosebumps.

The performer plays a Banjo-Uke, and is George Formby, a British music hall performer of the 30s & 40s.
Formby was known to say "it's turned out nice again," which is the backwards
message heard at the end of the song.
