I know ALOT about contemporary social niches and the things that bind them together. Most contemporary music is not about taste its about belonging to a certain group.

@beavergoffer It has nothing to do with hipster culture. Lo-fi music generally has more of a personal feel in the static and feedback than a lot of over produced crap you hear on the radio. This album was a HUGE step away from the debut album's recording, and it felt kind of weird the first time I heard it. It's still awesome music, tho.
