That is one of the most heart-breaking stories ever.

And yet so true, those that give their all are so often used up and worn out because they give absolutely everything, and people come to just expect it from them, so they never give back to those supreme givers until it is too late.

Thank you Sister. I havent heard this story since I read it in an old book when I was a child, in my native language. So recognizing the story that really struck me when a was a little- torn my eyes wet.

I read it as a child in a book that belonged to my own mother when she was a child. It had beautiful painted illustrations from the 30's.
