Try this on Guitar Pro. The blues is in a scale of B minor (blues scale) look for it in GP, he also does variations using a major, and a pentatonic B scale. Godfather theme: look for the D minor scale and the D muhammad scale (something like that). Don't try to play the exact same thing, this is improvised and not even Slash remembers what he played. You'll get those techniques by experience, I did and I understand how and what he plays throughout the video but there's no fun in copying from him

@shel727 I shall answer your questions my friend. The phrase at 2:00 is a standard Slash lick in the 4th position of the minor pentatonic scale. Here its in the key of B and goes; Tone bend18th fret Bstring, 15th fret Estring, 18th fret Estring, 15th fret Estring, repeat.Slash plays the Estring notes with hammer ons and pull offs, but its up to you. Remember Slash tunes his guitars to Eb, so while he is playing in the key of B in the video,you will be playing in the key of C if you dont retune.

@shel727 At 5:48 this is a run in the harmonic minor scale, or a relevent mode of the scale. I do not know the exact way he plays it in the video (thats why hes a god and i'm not!), but it is commonly used through out his career. If you want to play this, my advice would be to learn the scale and relevent mode, and then play it fast enough that you cant really hear the sequence of notes, as it is in the video.

Besides, Saul Hudson's phrasing is not good at all. I hate his vibrato's. He overdoes them to such an extent that it sounds bad. Vibrato's should be smooth but Slash does them way too rough. His bends aren't smooth either. But his notes are really in the right beat. He's doing them abit rubaro for the sake of it.
