Depends on where you're buying. Your best bet is to contact Travel West Midlands and find out. The cost of running one depends on what you want to do with it, whether any work needs doing to make it roadworthy or to improve it's performance or cosmetics. Then there's the tax (cheaper if taxed as a PLG), insurance, annual MOT and then theres the fuel.
I must admit I think they sound quite nice, especially when they whine. I still prefer the sound of a Gardner engined Olympian to a Gardner engined Metrobus. I wish I'd travelled on a Rolls Royce engined Metrobus when I had the chance a few years ago. Mind you, I was given the chance to own it too.
i love metrobuses and think volvo should make one now as a tribute to them
