You remove the front driveshaft, and of course you'd have to own one of these trucks to know how common it is for the boot to tear on the CV joint of the front driveshaft which requires you to REMOVE it to repair it!
I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. @thellbro its called a sonoma gt i own one it was made in 1992 their were only 806 ever made. it is a 4.3l vortec rwd no turbo or awd. same body kit exept for the peice that goes up and over the wheel well and the peice the goes on the door panle. the int is the same to minus the boost gague in the dash cluster

There was no 1995 syclone. They were only produced in 1991, the company that made them (Production Auto Services) went bankrupt shortly after the end of the Syclone / Typhoon deal ended.

...and just to clear it up for you. Neither the Syclone or the Typhoon has an on/off switch for the AWD and did not come with one from GMC, not even as an optional feature.
Blazer's, Jimmy's, S10's, and Sonoma's had the setup to turn on/off the font wheels with a lever/switch. Syclone's and Typhoons were full time AWD and didn't have any switch to disable the front wheels.

no it is full time AWD... i think the nissan skylines had a feature similar to what you're talking about... but i don't think that kind of technology was around in 1991 for the Syclone.
Yeah thats kewl , I have a 98 S10 with a little over 20K original miles. I dropped in a 383 Stroker, its pretty clean and pretty sweet. Ill probably put a vid up soon. Its a toy and truely a viper killer. I beat a 04 Viper on the Interstate a couple months ago and boy was he pissed. He spent all that money and this litle S10 literally blew his doors off. no it is full time AWD... i think the nissan skylines had a feature similar to what you're talking about... but i don't think that kind of technology was around in 1991 for the Syclone.

Yeah thats kewl , I have a 98 S10 with a little over 20K original miles. I dropped in a 383 Stroker, its pretty clean and pretty sweet. Ill probably put a vid up soon. Its a toy and truely a viper killer. I beat a 04 Viper on the Interstate a couple months ago and boy was he pissed. He spent all that money and this litle S10 literally blew his doors off. Ah well, hes rich,beaten, LOL... BTW I love Vipers , just cant afford one. Darn!I hear the Hennesy Viper is tits and almost unstoppable!!

how is it being abused??? if anything drag racing the truck is more abusive than lighting up the tires with the front propshaft out.
you can get some sleep tonight, this was done about 4 years ago and the truck is just fine.
