  • i like that the beat is so phånki i can feel it in the feet of this one

  • I actually didn't appreciate the full awesomeness of this track until watching this video. Had hardnormal daddy since '99.

  • Squarepusher at his best! Robert De Niro at his best too!

  • fuckin good stuff! Goes well together!! Thumbs up from me!!

  • the g3000 remix sh)ts on this

  • parts of the video are from Raging Bull, am i right? i dont remember the film name

  • Yes it's from raging bull.

  • who's the director ?

  • i like his speedy stuff better like Anstrum Feck 4, but this is still kool.

  • 最高! いぇあ=

  • what the hell are you saying, all i see is square's.

  • it's japaneese. i can c the characters.

  • wow! a good fan video for once...

  • As far as i know this is not a fan video.

  • Acid fucking jazz... mmmm

  • where you all download sqarepusher i cant find it anywhere

  • you can always download it your local record shop.

  • I love the main synth, it's great to see how much you can create with a crappy tone.

That will give those rap fans something to think about. Heh.

A lot of the mainstream music today is mostly boring repetitive melodies combined with expensive synths and aggressive lyrics + lots of marketing. The only reason people like it is because everyone else does.

  • (Max post limit 500 chars :P)

Another interesting thing is that nearly all of my favourite electronic music artists are just one or two people, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, The Prodigy, Trent Renzor and his nine inch fingernails (lol).

    Great video and good night.

  • don't forget orbital

  • do you know what he's using for this? i highly doubt the main synth is any kind of crappy..

  • What I meant was it would sound awesome regardless of what it's being played on, the melody is just good. He might as well use a blender and melodically tuned sandpaper on cardboard, i'd still love it.

But the fact that he's an excellent sonic engineer, that he not only made the melody but combined it with a "crappy" synth... just awesome... ...it couldn't sound any better than it already is.

  • i know dude it's just that i doubt he uses cheap equipment, but then cheap equipment for me usually means freeware vsti plugins lol. it sounds fairly fat to me?

  • he physically, electronically modifies a lot of his equipment to do things the machines he works with are not intended to do.

KEep this in mind: Tom Jenkinson was going to do physics and instead he decided music would be more fulfilling. Boy was he right!

  • yea, he and richard james both kinda have that philosophy that sometimes you have to build/program your own equipment because with electro-acoustic music if you even use the sounds that something makes when you get it from the factory, even if it's not a preset factory sound, you're still just playing someone else's sounds... I definitely agree with them too

  • @Kostly In both ways, he would have fulfilled his genious

  • @protobuddha

I guess it's still not too late for him if he wants to do it *shrug* it's just kind of tough to do both at once

  • this has to be one of his best tunes in my opinion and possibly the best video too!

  • squarepusher rocks!

  • Indeed he does. Rock on Squarepusher!

  • I too would like to state that squarepusher rocks

  • me too.

  • good so, good so
