WHAT?! cheetahs have EXTREMELY high muscle mass in their shoulders and haunches, how do you think they are able to maintain such speed and take down 500 pound wildebeest?! they also have a lesser concentration of fat than the lion or tiger, where both lion and tiger have about 20% fat concentration, while cheetahs hold around 10%

did you know cheetahs have a very thick lower jaw bone able to exert a bite force around 500 lbs?

@avada0 a tiger kills just like a cheetah, just like any other cat, with suffocation. if a tifer got ahold of me, it would aim for my neck. it wouldnt rip limbs off.

what im saying is that cheetahs ARE smaller and less dangerous, but they are not doubt less capable of killing a human

and relative to body size, the cheetah has a stronger bite than a tiger. a 130 pounds cat biting 500 pounds. a 700 pound cat biting 1500 pounds.

weight ratio of cheetah to tiger- 1/6th a tigers size

bite force ratio- 1/3rd a tigers bite force

yep, cheetahs have just as strong if not stronger bite force relative to body size than tigers

@BartIeDoo First of all, I wasn't bitching, I was discussing. Secondly, I love all big cats, even smaller catspecies like cougars and lynxs. There was this girl/boy who said a tiger just has muscles and nothing else, while a lion is much more beautiful, and I was just making it fifty/fifty by summing up the less beautiful sides about a lion. If you think that's trolling, so be it. But you're quite unintelligent then, as everyone knows that you shouldn't feed the trolls by replying on them.

@JaguarsSoul Tigers are nothing but savage beasts. Whats so great about being that bulky? They just look ugly and their head looks stupid compared to their tank sized body. Lions are much nicer built with their lean and elegant build, Lions are kings because they look like kings, Tigers look like some vicious Viking on steroids. A Lion could land 3 blows by the time that a Tiger gets its oversized 5 ton limb up to protect itself...

@Lionk1ngs Well, that's nature. Get over it. The main reason why lions are slimmer than tigers is that they live on the African plains, not in some forests. You cannot survive with that body in the rainforests if you're a solitary hunter. And besides, appearances won't work in nature. While lions hunt in groups on a single animal, tigers hunt alone. One reason why they have more muscles. Secondly, they live in forests. That's one reason why lions dislike forests.

@Lionk1ngs Oh, and one more thing: I believe tigers are way more beautiful than lions. Their muscular bodies never really bothered me. Their coatcolor, their stripes, their body types, their heads, their eyes... Lions are called kings because they live in groups and have manes. Otherwise, an elephant would take them down right away. @JaguarsSoul I know all that, Tigers are solitary meaning great muscular strength and sheer bulk, But this has got nothing to do with looks. Tigers heads are too small for their body though it looks retarded. Lions are slim and Cheetah like, while Tigers are more of a giant Jaguar on steroids. I still think Lions slim bodys are better proportioned for their heads. Also more people work with Lions because Tigers are pure untameable bloodthirsty savages. Lions are still king of the beasts.

@JaguarsSoul In all fairness Tigers are beautiful, but i think the Lion is more beautiful in terms of actions and grace. Tigers are known people killers and have killed more than 300,000 people in India. Whats so beautiful about a beast that kills so many people? Lions have killed people but not even half the amount of Tigers. How is a Tiger more agile when it looks like a Viking on steroids? A Lion is leaner hence better agility. Tigers limbs look like they weigh about 5 ton each.

They need it in forests. Lions need more speed than agility in the African plains. Fact. If an animal has more muscles, doesn't mean it isn't agile. You should check out FOR WHAT PURPOSE the muscles are there. Fact.

India is just like China; there're MILLIONS of people out there; they keep taking in the tigers' territories. Now, if you think that would happen without any trouble, then I doubt about your intelligence. Even I would fight for my home. In Africa, there're way less people than in India. However, I can also say that lions are brutal enough to kill cubs from other males.

@Lionk1ngs Tigers are way more agile because of the shoulder muscles and such. A lion may have those as well, but that from tigers are larger, giving them more agility. Tigers can run in circles like housecats, but lions can't do that. They're more built like cheetah's; for the speed. In the forest, agility is more useful than speed. Get over it.

ALSO, I've seen videos of big grizzlys running from cougars. U can YouTube that right now if u want. So if a cougar can take a grizzly, a tiger could take a grizzly and a cougar at the same time, I bet.

The way I look at it, Bengal tigers are known to kill and eat 20 foot alligators. 20 foot alligators have been known to kill kodiak grizzlys. Bengal tigers are not the biggest or strongest cat, the siberian tiger is. The kodiak is the largest and strongest bear in the world. If a siberian tiger ever crossed paths w/ a grizzly I'm sure the grizzly would be considered lunch. That's just my opinion tho... who knows for sure.

Tigers will take Lions easily, but bears? Come on be realistic, Bears have too much of a size advantage, if they were equal size then I think the tiger would take it, but they're not, the only bears a Siberian would stand off to aside from the (obvious small bears like the sloth bear) are the Asian and American Black bear and the Ussuri brown subspecies. Polars and Kodiaks are twice the size.

WHat about the Lion's social situation tho, Lions fight alot more. At their peak a alpha-male Lion has fought and traded claws far more than a solitary Tiger. Plus ur tryn to make a 500-600 lb cat sound skinny. Cheetahs are built completely different than a lion, Cheetahs dont have retractable claws, they have paws more like a dog for running, and they have a completely different spine that functions similiar to a rubberband, and they are skinny! Siberian tigers are the biggest and strongest cat on earth, It has adult brownbears on it`s meny. Brown bears are equally in size as the grizzly. That`s might say it all. But I wonder who would won in a siberian tiger vs polar bear battle..? I think that woulb be a furious battle but eventually I think the tiger would have won.
