  • rip heavyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • RIP Heavy D

  • rip heavy baby..

  • cyd charisse seriously got better with age.... very regal, sophisticated, beautiful, and talented

  • Loved this era with Janet.... before the clothes started peeling away. Yeah, I know, we all have to grow up eventually... and embrace our adult selves. lol

  • Not giving Cab Calloway's original ending to your video is pretty lame :(

  • This is one of the better remixes of original song, and Im a real stickler for remixes, not easily bought. I do miss the crosschatter in open window sequence.

  • Unbelieveable! Great work!

  • Hey guys dont forget the cameos by the amazing Nicholas Brothers from the forties and the bright suited Cab Calloway!! All have passed since the making of this video.

The Locking in this video was fundamentally sound and very sharp! Awesome locking!

  • heavy d is not dead

  • The ever-classy, Ms. Cyd Charisse...the lady in red. May she rest in peace.

I appreciate the fact that Janet had such an icon in her video. Gotta love Ms. Jackson!

  • Backround dancer at 4:05- blonde guy in the letterman's jacket his name is david and he used to skateboard on a ramp in my driveway with my brother, he also danced behind tevin campbell with my cousin, the guy in the maroon jacket with the mustard hat hung out with my cousin too. The guy with the yellow hat was working at a grocery store last time I saw him. I think his name was Sid. Aww memories of when music was good and life was fun :)

  • When record companies would spend money videos...love it

  • This is awesome, one of my favs from Janet!!! :-D

  • this my sh!t

  • The Bun Biddlely D

  • Cyd Charisse , at 68 yrs. old looks great in this video. She was 86 yrs. old, when she passed away in 2008.

  • Better with heavy D!

  • thats cool that she was a contemporary artist that acknoledged the greats, and im suprised that cab calloway and the nicholas bros were so old but still so good at dancing

  • why do people keep staying heavy d is dead i tought that too til i look it up and hes sill alive and well just dont get it

  • Cant get over how Classic this video is!!! Cab Calloway The nicholas brothers and Cyd Charisse, Heavy D and of course Miss Jackson

  • @LovingMeNaturally313 Classic i love them. It's truly classic!

  • DAAAYUUUMMNNN HEAV~!! YOU TOTALLY RIPPED THIS JOINT!!!! THE OVER WEGHT LOVER FREEKIN ROCKS~!!!

  • Every second, every minute of this video is nothing but pure hip hop, but what else did you expect when Janet Jackson was with Jimmy Jam. Don't know what happened between them, but she should've never left him

  • Classic by Janet Jackson and Heavy D. Heavy tore it up!!!!

  • comparing the two Pop divas it just blows my mind sometimes why Madonna sold more records than Janet. just look at this video, janet's refreshing, funky, classy, original...and an incredible dancer!

  • 6:32.. the only cool cop ive ever seen...

  • This is the best mix yet!

  • Cyd Charisse still had those legs even then!

  • hehehe heavy d

  • She threw in The Nicholas Brothers ! she threw in some lockin and and she threw in some Jazz Funk ..although half of you probably weren't even born yet ...props to Janet Jackson for giving recognition to those who paved the way for dancers today . I also like the Smooth Criminal Concept !

  • remember when Heavy D was like Jay-Z? LOL!

  • Possibly the CLASSIEST music video, EVER?

  • whoa! i did not know those skater shoes were out that long ago. and the dancing @ 5:55 is priceless.

  • wait i'm confused. do things repeat in this video?

  • @21centuryg i noticed that too. they do repeat. i'm just not sure why. but there's a clock in the video so i guess janet's controlling time or something...?

  • @21centuryg Yes they repeat in this video because of the person mixed and put this video together. The original Janet Jackson video doesn't repeat.

  • Heavy D did not pass away. It was one of his boys in the group. T-Roy I believe. Did a tribute to him in one of his later albums in the 90s.

  • Now, this is some great old school stuff! I loved the 90's!!!!! It was the best!

  • They dont make video's like this anymore..man i miss those days..they maybe gone but never forgotten..thank god for youtube and people who post those good memories

    Terence Brandes from toronto

  • would anyone agree with me that that's tupac at 0:14?

  • OMG! It does look like him!

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO of all time. BEYONCE can't even come up with this concept. This was the era when music videos were creative and worth the time and money to spend (remember the BOX network!)

  • OMG!!..someone else besides me remembers The BOX..that network was the last place you could go that didn`t have the"corporate forced"videos..it was all about buying the videos that you*the viewer*wanted to see..what a concept!!.IT USED TO BE LIKE THAT PEOPLE!.,and yes I remember the days when music videos brought the words of the song to visible life..sadly todays"music artist"(being sarcastic)have only the talent of looking*cookie cutter*good..,and NOTHING ELSE!

  • @paradyneT101 I remember the box!! The only problem was you got idiots requesting the same stupid songs over and over again. I can't tell you how many times I saw "Who dat is? That's just my baby daddy." on the Box.

  • LOLOLOLO!!!!...I remember that video!...someone must have kicked the crap out of their credit card to get it played that many times!.,but still you if you wanted to see something else all you had to do was call the Box`s number an you could see it...now all you see is what the industry wants you to see..,there`s no more choice...and the videos today suck!

  • I know right you ain't lying.

  • @therealstandaman They don't even make music videos like this anymore.

  • @LAX324 so true, so sad :(

  • @therealstandaman YES AND LONG BEFORE BET

  • @therealstandaman couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @therealstandaman AGREE 100 PERCENT ;

  • i think ozone from the breakin movies is one of the dancers

  • awe man so many memories. This is REAL music. I hope it comes back one day.

  • Yes!!

Loved this video...I LOVE Heavy D!

  • Thank - You Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis...Please bring back your music so we can have REAL music again!!!

  • Amen to that!!!!

  • You are an idiot. That is Heavy D.

  • Great re-edit of the video, you should do it for a living (if you don't already that is). Loved it.

  • Latoya will play here i wished one day to see Janet here much better than his sista lol

  • who is the beautiful blonde lady in the red dress dancing with Janet?

Heave D passed away (R.I.P), when?
