  • Many thanks for these two remarkable videos. It is most appropriate to give several angles for each movement. It helps a lot the practitioner. One question: when these 8 movements "are mastered" What do you see as the most appropriate training, Qi Gong five animals, massages, meditation ??? Many thanks for your feedback

  • @JLFuerteventura For strenht and fitness the better, in my opinion, is the buddhist Yi Jin JIng, by far. it is an "external qi gong.

    you must, it is a must, ZHAN ZHUANG - the pole position

    Finally, an "internal" one. It could be SIX HEALING SOUNDS, or SMALL MICROCOSMIC ORBITE. for the Qi feeling

    you'll find everything in You Tube and Wikipedia.

    i am 68 years old , 50 of practice. cannot find a better way to get into it

  • @JLFuerteventura this video of ba duan jin is perfect. It lacks only the explanation of the BREATHING. Actually, you can call it a variation of the YI JIN JING

  • Usually between 6 or 9 times. Chinese prefer everything regarding number 9. Dont forget to start with Part 1 Demonstration. Demonstrations 1 and 2 make the whole "Eight treasures silk brocade" practice. What is important here is MINDFULNESS on everything happening while you practice, sounds, landscape, the movements, the joy....NO THOUGHTS !!!!

  • The exercises are to be done 8 times each, including the sides where appropriate. You don't have to do them that many tho. There are many ways to do them. There were orig'ly 12, but 2 sets of them were lumped together to make 8. Ck out "8 Simple Exercises for Health," from YMAA, which explains them well.

  • this is the best demonstration here.but i don't understend how many times must be executed each exercise? it seems that ones are executed tree times, others six times...
