  • Fix for me (using WordPress multisite) was to go to Network Admin>Settings & see File upload size & edit (I put it to 15000KB). Also make sure filetype is included in list of allowable upload file types (setting on the same page-just add type eg mp4 swf flv etc). My .mp4 video has now uploaded-yayyyy! Goodluck & best wishes all :-)

  • Nice video-thanks

    Unfortunately this fix doesn't work for me though-my WP max upload is set @ 1M

    (& no change following your helpful instructions-why not I wonder?-I will keep trying...)

    WordPress amazes me..so many features yet so many problems with them.

    Why don't they give clear & easy help to do these things? WP are always bringing out new versions-it is time someone there @ WP made sure good help/instruction was available (& I have tried WP support forum & am not too impressed!). :-)

  • i did the exact same thing, and i dropped it to the wp-admin folder, i logged out and signed in again, and tried to upload something, but the max is still stuck at 2mb,

  • Hurreyyyyyyy.....It works. I can increase it to 64Mb. Thanks a lot mate. :D

  • Thank' You ...I was Busting My Balls On This..Saved Me A lot Of Trouble

  • Thanks! you saved me =]

  • I tried this and copied it exactly but did not work - i still cant upload mp3s more than 8 meg - very frustrating when you have a music site !!! Any ideas what I can do?

  • @classicrocker987 Are you using WordPress?

  • Great instructional video, but I found it difficult to see the code, so I've copied it below for others to copy and then do a File Save As "php.ini" as the filename.

    upload_max_filesize = 250M;

    post_max_size = 250M

    The 250M can be changed to anything you want it to be.

  • Holy Crap Dude! Thank you! I was freaking out! Much appreciated.

  • Great dude...thanks!!!! Works even with the latest Wordpress :)

  • Hey man - I have been trying to make an INI file on a mac using Text Edit, but it doesn't create the extension properly... and it has no option for making it INI. When I manually enter .INI this becomes part of the file name and it gives it another extension (such as .TXT). Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

    Great post btw - VERY useful (especially if I can get it to work).

  • @hotlinkcinema i'm having the sam problem

  • Oh I really needed this but I have vista so how can I make it :( ?
