Thank you andantekit. Though wishing to be interred as compost under a tree on my aussie bush block, I would like this version of Mozart's gorgeous hymn to humanity played somewhere over me when finally I shuffle off this mortal coil - as a parting gift. This must be the closest to a whisper and mournful lullaby ever heard from a choir. A transcendently beautiful masterpiece...

This and the Bernstein version are quite moving. I had the supreme pleasure of singing this short, yet awesome work with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (NY) under the direction of Christopher Seamon in Vail, Colorado, July, 2006, as an encore following a performance of the Mozart Requiem that brought Seamon to tears. I will relive that night in my heart forever.
