I love this series so much (duh), but I must say that I love the way they were written. It was just a style of writing that really appealed to me and was really easy to get into! The characters were awesome; they weren't stereotypical AT ALL! Plus the plotline was awesome... if you haven't read these books just read them, please.
i need to read Goliath so bad!! AGH! and Cass, they are making a movie out of Scott's Uglies!! i actually have the production company's number, im calling every other week to ask about when casting calls are (im dying to play Tally!)!! :D
have you ever heard of the Forest of Hands and Teeth? i heard there will be a movie based on that.....a little nervous. i dont want it to be the typical "KILL ALL THE UNDEAD" type of movie. :\
OH, and I think Keith Thompson also illustrated for A Series of Unfortunate Events. I don't know for sure, but the style is like, exactly the same. I noticed that when I first startes reading it. I'm like, OH, AWESOME!
So I read Leviathan, and went back to my school library to get Behemoth. Librarian goes, "So, Jane, are those books good? I've never gotten into it, but I know you're picky with books and only read really good stuff."
"UHM, YEAH. LOVE. HOW DIDN'T YOU GET INTO IT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
Needless to say I flipped out.
Anyway. I probably wouldn't have read this if not for you. So thanks, Cassidy.
Goliath was torture. not because it was a bad book, but because it was the conclusion to the BEST SERIES EVER DEVISED BY MAN! The thinning pages completely devastated me, so i had to make the book last longer by reading slowly. im a guy, an i almosted cried at the end of this series. PS im a total Clanker. LONG LIVE AUSTRIA HUNGARY... which sadly only had four years left
Thank you for this book review I literally got like a minute into it and was like I'm totally reading this! I just finished the series today....so sad. These books were the bomb diggity! Thanks again!
P.S I liked Darwinist, I think Bovil converted me though haha.
I've seen Leviathan Series around a lot and I kept on thinking, "those look so interesting. I really want to read them." but never got around to it. Now that you've done a VERY positive review of it, I think I'll finally go buy and read them.
I have a list of over 20 books that I've decided I absolutely have to get or else death may or may not be the only option left, but funding this is proving difficult. As a person who's absolutely addicted to books, could you be wonderfully wonderful and send me your book collection?
How I wish you could actually ask people that. ,_,
Hey, great review! :) Have you read The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness? I feel like you'd love it! It's a trilogy, somewhat dystopian... but way out there... more out there than your regular run of the mill dystopian.
@effervescentspirit I tried to make her read that, but I don't think she liked it lol. If you liked that, you should try 'The John Cleaver" series. It's morbid, but really fun.
I adore Scott Westerfeld's style. I'm reading The Uglies now,but I need to catch up and read Goliath. The Leviathan trilogy is awesome ! I like Scott's universe!
A GIRL FALLS IN LOVE WITH A MAGICAL CACTUS. Yep, basically describes all YA fictions for ya. And seriously, after seeing this, I must read this series now. But, I must finish reading the Harry Potter series before I do that. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BOOKS IN THE WORLD TO REAAAADDDDDD....
@RetteMichx Because they are. Each one has a spoiler warning below them, and I've said in the past: I don't like to do vague reviews. I really like to talk about and get into what I've read. For future references, just check below. There's always a spoiler alert!
@CassJayTuck Oh no, I always check below to see if there is a spoiler alert. I was just wondering why there are always spoilers in your videos because I'm one of those people who hates when things get spoiled for them. I really like your videos.. so sometimes I get bummed out when I can't watch some of your reviews because of the spoilers, but yeah I see what your saying..
@RetteMichx Yeah, I don't like to do book reviews without them. I feel like they'd have no substance. Like, "I like this book...but I can't tell you why, 'cause I'll spoil it for you." See what I mean?
@CassJayTuck Yeah, I totally get what your saying. It makes sense. I think your videos are great. I enjoy watching your reviews on books I already read, because we usually agree on everything. (:
OK. The Books of Bayern are not better than Percy Jackson buuuuuuut that's only because Percy Jackson is the best series I have ever read. But The Books Of Bayern are a really really really really really really really close second. So please keep reading them! Because it is kind of slow the first 20 pages but it quickens it's pace with time. THANKS Y'ALL!
You know I couldn't decide for most of the series what I was but then I thought about my family's actual roots and I'm a clanker thought my grandfather married a Darwinist :) i loved these books so much deryn and aleck had the BEST relationship ever! Gah I want more toooooo
I really appreciate your book reviews! My sister is obsessed with these books, we had to drive an hour to a chapters for the last books, canada release. I love your t-shirt! and how do you get your hair so pretty?
Thanks for the review, and all the other reviews you've done, and all the random thoughts, and basically everything on your channel. by the way, do you think these books are the best you've ever read (not just the best books you've read this year)? if not: what do you think the best books you've ever read would be? thanks again for every thing you do for us. it's really great!

Gosh, a horrible equation popped into my mind as I was watching this:
Percy Jackson series ends = end of the world
I never want Seaweed brain to go! :'(
On a different note...
Cassidy, you have gotten me obsessed with Leviathan. Thank you.

I want a perpicacious loris. More specifically, Bovril. I had no idea that an animal could be so flippin' adorable. Aww.
