  • Hi Buddy,

Glad U enjoyed my stuff with JJ back in the day. That's a wonderful sounding axe by the way. nice balance for a 12 string. Nice job.

  • I have a a question. I'm decent, not great as a guitar player, can play nearly 30 Beatles tunes. I know that covering a song there are many different chord transposing to make it in the right key, as I play this song C - Gm without a capo, many different strumming patterns to sound good. I sing when I play, but in your covers you play to the recording, what's the trick to have the sound just barely audible to your guitar. Thanks

  • @ahafan64 There's no trick to it. I just use a Sony HandyCam Digital Camcorder set up on a tripod. If I use any background music I turn it down to a level that is just audible to me in order to keep time for the song. The guitar is then featured up front in the mix which allows listeners to focus on it as an instrumental part that they may choose to try to learn which is really all this channel is about. Nothing is mixed or prerecorded. It is raw and live when it is recorded by the camera..

  • it´s amazing when you play , i have also ´hungry´to take my guitar and plug and play, that´s why i have subribe on your youtube channel.

    Greets Alex

  • Cool fat sound there...Nice!!

  • yes in the first recorded song harrison played a 12 strings guitar after he play a 6 strings guitar like concert for bangladesh see in the concert for george this song is played also a 12 strings guitar

  • yes in the first recorded song harrison played a 12 strings guitar after play a 6 strings guitar like concert for bangladesh see in the concert for george this song is played also a 12 strings guitar

  • awesome job

  • "Ringo" fans....

In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.

    Peace,

Vinnie Zummo, former Joe Jackson guitarist

  • @Vazmusic Thanks for dropping by Vinnie. Back in the late 1970's and early 1980's I listened to the music by Joe Jackson and his band often. All the best to you! - BC

  • buddy is a beast

  • Is he playing a 12 string?

  • @fghjklyuiop I don't know...but I am...LOL

  • @fghjklyuiop Of course that's a 12 string.

    Great cover!

  • @fghjklyuiop No.

  • @fghjklyuiop yes he is! see the two six parts in the beginning at 0:10

  • excellent

  • As usually, GREAT!

  • i ask before like ohers have . you say it's all be ear i understand . i'm sure you must know what cords your playing . even i know what cord i play once i learn a song. if you take time to play them you could make good money giving lessons. anyway i'll do my best to go threw 100 clpis of songs like this to get the compeat songs.. it's ab....... buster lol keep rocking beatles still rock.

  • I know some of the chords I'm playing by name but generally, I don't even give that sort of thing a thought. I just play what I hear and go with it. Unorthodox playing...yes, but it works for me...at least some of the time.

  • I really love watching you play, Buddy!!

  • Thank you!

  • The chord at 45/46 is a B7. Nice job!

  • what chord are you playing at 0:44-45? Great job by the way

  • C#7/G# or Db7/Ab I think!

  • There you go.. Right capoed fret and correct key cjhange! Marty had the wrong fret capoed and didnt put in the key change. 12 string is alright. Gives it a fuller sound. Nice lead. But I think George played that with a bar slide.. Great Job Mate

  • Thanks! George definitely used a slide on the leads...but I don't even own a slide...so I played them without one. -BC

  • First is easy, just put an capo at first fret, Em and A thanks to Marty Schwartz

  • Sounds really good on a 12 string guitar. Are there specific differences with the chords?

  • Thanks! I approach the 12-string the same way I do when I play a 6-string...but with less lead playing. -BC

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks! -BC

  • nice bro 12stringed guitars sound like two guitars, 5/5

  • Thanks! -BC

  • you make strange D chords =P

  • But they are still "D" chords! Ha! -BC

  • Yes they are...

  • Again as always - great job! Sure would like to see you break out that Rick and do a fun song, great beat, but oldie.... I'll Get You. Just learning it myself and having a blast with it. I often review your songs to see what I am missing....no pressure LOL. Thanks for posting. Note - Love the respect you have for your guitars....the wall displays are just what the doctor ordered! Plan to copy them myself in one way or another.

  • Thanks! I'll do that one eventually. It was a favorite since I was a child. -BC

  • Muy bueno.....me gusta la misma musica!! y muy lindo tu apartamento con esos cuadros tan bellos ....gracias por regalarnos tu arte !!

    Hare Krisna!

  • FANTASTIC*****!!!!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • yes man! that was brilliant! does the actual recording have a 12 string? i always play it with one because it sounds like there is but i can't tell if its just an effect, do you know?

  • Thanks! It sounds like a 12-string on the recording to me. -BC

  • Actually, the album was a Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" production. He had Harrison and Badfinger playing multiple guitar tracks and stacking them on top of each other to get that big sound.

  • You are missing a dimished chord after C#m.

  • Actually...I didn't miss it at all...LOL I play by ear. -BC

  • wrong rhythm..wrong chords

    sorry but your wrong

  • LOL

  • absolutely dead on here

  • Not according to "beatlesaus"...

  • well he apparently doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • There seems to be an abundance of those out here in cyberland. -BC

  • too true! i agree with you completely on that point.

  • Beatlesaus - Where's your version? Apparently you know what "right" is so the rest of us would love to see. Curious though...how can Buddy be playing the wrong rhythm when he's playing perfectly in time with the actual track?

  • yeah good point

  • nope he's dead on!!!

  • hey BC, for a man with so many great guitars, you really don't smile nearly as often as you should.

  • :-) :-) :-) -BC

  • Ok thanx for the reply, I like your taste in music and always enjoy your videos, thanx.

  • Excellent, but isn't it supposed to be a diminished chord in the turnaround?

  • I don't know...maybe, but I've never looked at any written music for this. I play by ear...and sometimes I substitute other chords into a chord progression just to add my twist to the song. These videos are just my interpretations of songs and not meant as lessons. If I do any lessons, I'll have a look at the actual sheet music and work out the chords from that. Until then, folks should view these as they are meant...which is simply a live performance of a song...from my point of view. -BC

  • Amen Brother!!!!!! I Totally Agree With You 100% Great Job BC

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Sweet like morning sunshine!

    Flawless.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Really like this. Watching and listening to you lifts me.

  • Thank you for the kind words! -BC

  • Thanks Buddy. When you play, it reminds me of my little brother Alan who was a great guitarist in his own right. He passed away 15 years ago. I sure miss him. He use to jam around kinda like you do. Keep up the good work. Your Friend from Hickory, Rick (KG4YVW

  • Thank You! Is that Hickory, NC you are referring to? -BC

  • Yes

  • I know the area . I used to go up to Lenoir, NC to see my Grandparents back in the 1960's and 1970's. I also went to Camp Rockmont over in Black Mountain 1970-1972. That is a beautiful area of the country. I've always liked that area of NC.

    -BC

  • Yea, I've lived here pretty much since I was 18. Went to Hudson High Grad '75. Next time you're in the area, drop me a line.maybe we'll have coffee or something. Again thanks for the memories. Rick (KG4YVW)

  • very fine Buddy, your friend from canary islands.

  • Thank You! -BC

  • Awesome! great cover. By the way, i believe this was the first number one hit from any of the Fab four post Beatle period.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Another Great Job BC. Keep The Music Coming.

Love to Here You Play Some Inspirational Music On Here As Well. God Bless

  • Thanks! I will do that eventually. I know hundreds of songs...but many I've not played in a while...however, eventually I am going to broaden the spectrum of music I cover here on my little channel.

    -BC

  • Really enjoying this Buddy, helped me with my playing as well!

  • Very good...thanks! -BC

  • Buddy!

  • Great work again-good sound Takamine!!!!*****

  • Thanks! -BC

  • I've watched all of your videos and i've never seen anyone cover The Beatles and their solo songs as great as you do. Its so great to watch you play and I love all the guitars that you use. Keep covering for us all to watch. Kris

  • Thanks! The only thing I hate about doing this...is when I really learn to play properly, I'm probably going to feel like I need to go back and redo every one of the videos again...LOL -BC

  • Glad to see you back on the twelve string acoustic--thanks

  • Thanks! -BC

  • It's hard for me tp realize that George was sued for plagiarism and its nothing like "He's So Fine" by the Chiffons. Other than that, Buddy great guitar playing. I Iearned tp play this song without the capo on the second fret, now I'll have to learn it over again. With the capo on the second fret, what chord progressions are you using for the strum pattern? ___Chris

  • Chris, I'll have to sit down and figure out what I played...because I play without looking at anything written. I play totally by the sound I hear...so more often than not, I don't even think about what chords or notes I am playing...I just play what I heard on the recording. -BC

  • Excellent! Always a pleasure to see your videos.

  • Thank you! -BC

  • Buddy as alway, you did a great job. Just wanted to come by and say hi from the great Roseland NC.

  • Thanks Shannon...don't I know you? :-)

  • great performance Buddy. i wish i could shake your hand.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Wow.. that modulation at 2:00 - 2:09 makes a lot more sense with the capo at the 2nd fret. Thanks, Buddy!

  • Thanks! I do everything by ear and I also play in standard tuning...so this one sounded like it could use a capo...LOL

    -BC

  • Great job Buddy !

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Splendid! Nice lead work at the end-gotta love George.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Nice performance, Buddy.

  • Thank You! -BC

  • nice job Buddy.

can you tell me the chords you are using

    thanks

  • Wow! Great cover!

all of your covers are phenomenal but this song blew me away!

i could never find a cover that clean and so close!

    awesome guitar btw =]

is there a possibility of sending the tabs for it? and capo on 2nd or 3rd fret?

  • Thanks! -BC

  • This is awesome :) Just noticing that not only is that one sharp looking guitar but it has a loooot of strings :~D Great post! Five stars for ya!

  • Thanks! 12-strings to be exact....LOL I should post some pictures of the back of this guitar. It has some of the most "flamey" maple I have ever seen in a guitar...which is a shame that all that beautiful wood is on the back ...but Takamine used the typical solid Spruce top on this model and left the solid flamed maple for the back and sides.

    -BC

  • I don't know much about guitars period :) Just look at them and say "ooo...pretty.." These guitars seem very special to you and you seem really intelligible about them! Anywho, thanks for all these great posts you do :) I keep on seeing and hearing things I may've never heard if not for you!

  • Many Thanks! -BC
