This version pisses on the original ( no polite way to say it). Like so much in life certain aspects of life (music, film, books etc etc etc) are deemed done deals. In truth there are better "versions" everywhere for those with eyes to see.

sorry definitely the weakest of the early Bomb The Bass records. There are just too many greats that Beat Dis (gettit). Megablast! Don't Make Me Wait! Liquid Metal! The Air You Breathe! Love So True! You See Me In 3D! I'm out breath and these are only the 12"s of the first album. With such great original records I can't understand why Tim Simeon copied this.

No way mate. This surpasses the original (it's not often I say that!). Tim Simeon did a fantastic job with this. Very subtle, but transforms it from Aretha's version. Agree with you about "Don't Make Me Wait" and "Megablast" though, great tracks!

I think the music is better but Aretha is one of the greatest vocalists of all time and I don't think her voice can be beaten. What I'd love to see is Tim's music with Aretha's vocals laid over it...

I've always thought that about this track. The vocal has more atmosphere and emotion than the original for me. I dropped this when I was DJ'ing at a Milllenium party. The place went bonkers, only surpassed, when, a short time later I played "Patti Day - Right Before My Eyes" and "Denise Lopez - Don't You Wanna Be Mine".
