I went down to my local music store and tried aout an Iabnez SAGE SGT120 acoustic guitar,and when I tested it out, th SAGE was in standard tuning, and for only $149 dollars, it was great(okay, i think the guitar was about 30 dollars more, not quite sure) but when i tested teh guitar out, i played the intro to this sound, and it was great! it sounds like the guitar that BLG uses. diffently buying it, and im a pretty big BLG/pop punk fan. perdect, nice playing, a little buzzy, but good job!!

hey guitartutee, i think it will be better to do the acoustic version which is on open D tuning. i think thats what the people here are saying

It really doesn't matter. If you hit a D chord while in standard tuning, it still sounds fine. It'll just be an octave higher than what it's supposed to be.

yeah it sounds right but it sounds very empty if u just play the power chords on acoustic. the original however played on open D tuning which have a more complete tone
