Premise of the book is about a drug addict who had a messy childhood. The guys finds a book written by a crazy old dude who has this strange addiction toward describing the observable feature of space in this world (yet he is blind*). The book he wrote is about a house that has infinite depth and contains an ominous monster. In my opinion the whole book is sort of a dramatic summary of the case of schizophrenia lol. You'll know what I mean when you read the book in its entirety.
