Horizon Air CRJ-700 Thunders Off of PDX Runway 28L

These are quiet compared to the old F-28s that Horizon used to fly. Those RR egines in those old boats were LOUD! I mean goes to ELEVEN LOUD.

Oh I believe it. Unfortunately I was too young to really remember the F-28s... Compared to 737NGs and A320s, I found the little CRJ suprisingly noisy.

Oshkosh 1998, when the Concorde took off... good christ... I was front row, and my ear drums were ringing for literally about 30 minutes after. I was 13 at the time, but man oh man... What a site that was... 727's are awesome. The L1011's are noise makers, along with the older Falcon 50's.

i agree alot,i was at southend airport a couple of weeks ago ther was a 727 starting its engines ready to taxi, i was about 40 m away from it and it was extreamly loud (compared to other commercial jets)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
