  • sick motor

  • Sounds like a baby crying.

  • oh my gosh, call that thing a weed eater, itll rip 15k rpms out yo ass, while cranking over 500 hp with no turbo lol nice vid, wish i could hear it idle more, so much props to whoever built that monster!

  • WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT AUSTRALIAN AN AMERICAN CARS??? mazda 10a 12a 13b 20b All made in Japan 26b was formed with german & japan!!!

  • gm = fail = true. I just think it's because none of their low end cars have sex appeal. They are all like "you have to spend big bucks to have that, because that is the american way".... I'd rather just go buy a genesis.

  • @CRAZYSTOO Genesis are expensive.

hell, im in korea and barely see them.

Hyundai did step up their game with the new 2011 models like the sonata and the avante, and they have some get up and go

  • ya that seems like a good idea....turn the car on and instantly mash the gas pedal to the floor multiple times. but it sounds fucking good.....this coming from a '94 cobra track car owner

  • Brap, Brap Brap..

  • this video is fake.

  • @celeia2 yeh this guys right the car has no paneling how are we even meant to know its a car and not a unicorn i mean its not like it has wheels or anything

  • TLDN

  • rotars have a funky sound but u gotta watch out cus they bite the road to bits

  • People, re-read what he wrote. "Ford is the only decent American car manufacturer left." That is true but when they started the LSx projects it's become more reliable now. Back then it was all about the money. I would have been the same because capitalistic businesses doesn't care who it sells to but how much they actually make.

  • Rotors Rock!

  • i love american muscle but the rotary is my only exception

  • I'm American, this is fucking awesome!!! I'm dumping my dream of a 900hp CTD for a rx7 and a 4 rotor.

  • HUUUH HUUUH HUUUH HUUUH!!!!!

  • pussy ripper!

  • how much is this motor?

  • you sir, need better engine mounts :D otherwise, very very nice.

  • F

    ME

  • lmfao sounds like an inline 4 superbike, nice!

  • is alive.... ALIVE

  • sounds like i just walked into a tire center! love it!

  • same pointless comments on every video of a japanese car that could smoke 90% of american crap on wheels.

    LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!

  • @f20a4bb9 Thank you for contributing yet another useless ignorant comment

  • @FTBoogie well, you are doing the same with your comment over mine actually.

    so thank you, +1.

  • @f20a4bb9 Im sorry, could you please rephrase that in a sentence that actually makes sense? I dont speak retard.

  • @FTBoogie but you surely are one.

planning on another constructive comment? dont, please.

  • @f20a4bb9 No, you have outwitted me with your superior intellect. Congratulations.

  • rotary rules same displacement from factory n breacking all kids of records of those who up in displacement. 1.3 n1.2l lol love it

  • i thought i just heard my grandmas rice grinder... huh w/e

  • i would like to see it do a run of any kind...drag...street race...just a simple run w/e i betcha its a pretty sweet ride

  • sounds like an impact wrench haha.

  • I put a 20B in my old 1st gen RX-7 and i loved it. Out of a Cosmo. Thing was fast. Good luck on your build.

  • wow that thing was revving quick and such a nice sound to it.

  • whats the wrapping on the engine?

  • Sounds like a freakin super bike. haha

    NICE!

  • LOL @ all the cakes commenting

  • First time start and you rev'd it like that.....

  • gas powered air tool. lmao

  • there is a little midget monster in there rumbling around and sneezing.

  • that is not a 4 rotor.

  • @superbad1982 lol it is... google "Scoot 4 rotor" its real all right. Its also not that hard to do.. all that was changed is the eccentric shaft.. its basically like 2 13bt engines sandwiched.

  • OMG...i NEED one of those!

  • soound's like a f1

  • @wankeleo Hell yeah thats the first thought when hearing this

  • A lot of people don't know that GM bought the license to make rotaries bake in 1970. They were going to put them in the Corvette as a 5 rotor motor. Of course they scraped that Idea due to the gas consumption. At that time is when the gasoline crisis was just starting.

  • WTF!? sick i say

  • @MrVelozity Better at unintended acceleration into a tree, sure.

  • gas motorsports has a standard crank in a 2jz with 1800hp and its aussie built

  • the only downfall is the enjin life span, appart from that they act like a two stroke motorcycle..... POWERBAND!!! REV REV REV!!!

  • of what exactly? the R26B or rotary engines in general, if it rotary engines in general..

you are without a doubt, mis-imformed

  • @DeadlySausage its 4 rotor 2.6 liter

  • obviously none of you have been in or owned a rotary before, lmfao! whatever turns youse on :)

  • Deadshit.

  • The onllyyy con with a wankel for the average tuner is that they're very expensive. One can easily get some simple power by drilling new holes and bulting in a GM LS series motor compared to a mazda wankel. But, I think the small blocks are no way near as cool.

  • lol...

  • lol Im all for american cars and I own an 86 rx7... whoo...

quit knocking the import market because they can outrun your ride when they have no pistons... not taking sides, but up against just about anything thats not top fuel, a 4 rotor will mop the floor with its piston driven counterpart...

    .nuff said.

  • its nothing to get 1000hp out of a piston engine nowadays....not saying rotaries are bad but there are plenty of piston engines that will outrun them

  • How about the power curve? Reliability at higher rpm? Rpm limitations? Weight? Size? Lack of vibrations (None in comparison to a piston motor)? Volumetric efficiency? In racing, its thermal efficiency does not matter and torque is also out of the equation. Due to gearing and weight reduction in racing high torque demand is not necessary. If torque was necessary forced induction nets torque in folds. Also 1000hp is not as easy as you think. In comparison. What piston motors are you referring to?

  • 1000hp is fairly easy out of a motor nowadays. the gm LS-series, toyota 2jz and the newer ford ohc motors come to mind. there are plenty of those motors making over 1000hp. a lot of times on the stock bottom end too. piston motors can rev high too. look at nascar motors, they will pull 10k rpm for 4 hours straight. there are also old chevy small blocks that will rev to 11-12k rpm. not stock obviously, but there are ones that will do it. even the stock bottom end in my monte will rev to 7k rpm

  • I never said it wasn't easy. It's just not reliable. Also 2jz, LS3,6,7,9's, are not reliable at 1000hp ranges. LS series considering they're aluminum blocks now sucks and the 2jz or 1jz can only run at 630hp to 700hp reliable. Mostly due to still using Iron blocks, but the newer 2jz's are aluminum too. My bestfriends dad used to turn 8k with his old Nova II in the late 70's. It also helped that he had his own performance shop too.

  • no it is reliable. there are plent of ls-series, j-series and ford ohc motors making over 1000hp on stock bottom ends...a lot of them are street cars

  • Now what is your definition of stock bottom ends and reliability?

  • there are also many supras with waaay over 1000hp on the bottom end.

  • @savagexhaley14 and most supras are dyno queens that run like 12 in the 1/4 mile lol

  • ya some of them are but some of them arent. there's one around here that makes almost 700rwhp and it only runs 7.4 in the 1/8 which is about 11.5 in the 1/4. a 700rwhp car should be a lot faster than that

  • gearing bro all about gearing

  • this is very true my friend. only pro that rotaries have over piston engines after they hit high hp is power to displacement/weight. on the other-hand...one little flaw on ANY of the internals and boom. lmao

  • I hate people like you who are all "hardcore american" and will never admit when something not american is cool or good. Get over it, GM especially make cheap cars for the masses with no inspiration and flare. Ford is the only decent American car manufacturer left, they didnt take any bail out money and they even made money recently, like a company should. GM cars are junk b/c the the malibu is the same as ____ for another GM brand. They just put a diff body on the same car! cmon, lazy...

  • Ford being decent? their cars cant stay together...

  • @custom240sx I like how you combated ignorance with ignorance.

  • @custom240sx im with you on that one. that car doesnt even sound good enough to be an impact wrench putting tires on a ford!

  • @custom240sx even ford does that. they share platforms with mazda. nissan does that with infinity. toyota lexus. all companys do it. its cheeper its nothing new to share platforms.

  • @custom240sx except mustangs are a shitty excuse for a sports car... Ford makes money of their trucks.

  • @custom240sx i completely agree i love my fc not to mention the rotary is so good that its the only engine to ever be mass produced and not use pistons...and not many people know but gm at 1 point was going to make a rotary corvette a 2 rotor and a 4 rotor and awfully big rotors would have been very fast but people didn't like it so it got dropped after the 2nd auto show it went to

  • @custom240sx Ford Lincoln Mercury.

Hey what about Dodge? If you start trashing Dodge/Jeep too I lose ALL respect for you. GMC Chevy vehicles are the only GMCs I'd buy anyhoo, my mothers '95 Suburban is still worth over 8 grand because of it's condition and the oil cooled tow package... Everything about it but gas mileage and maybe speed kicks modern SUVs in the rear... interior and electronics included, all stock (not to mention the welded steel body welded onto a welded steel frame.

  • @custom240sx i'm not a hardcore american car enthusiast but they have no money to re-engineer another car, i mean its hard coming up with different versions of almost every car for like 3 or 4 manufacturers AND making a profit. nissan's only got 2, toyota's got 3 and most marques only have to R&D for one brand. you're also wrong: toyota and honda make cheap cars for the masses too, and toyota is the boring one, they have no sports cars in their line up.

  • @carsnwomen91 Well, you got the Economy Sports car, the tC. And who could afford a sports car in this day? Rich as hell arrogant people.

  • @carsnwomen91 toyota owns lexus who make the LFA super car. which might i add is very sexy sports car!

  • @koltscats you got me there, but toyota doesn't know how to market a high performance vehicle. MR2 left and so did the supra. the LFA is way to expensive for what it offers, i mean i doesn't even have a dual clutch tranny :/ its still amazing though. I'm hoping the LFA was an engineering experiment, a sort of intro before toyota starts making exciting affordable sports cars.

  • @custom240sx uh....ford does the same thing...Ford Explorer = Mercury Mountaineer...Ford Taurus = Mercury Sable...yeah its stupid...GM, Ford, Dodge ETC, they all build GREAT cars and Trucks...and then they also make SHIT cars and trucks...Not just americans do this...everyone has this same concept...if all cars were PERFECT...we wouldnt be able to afford to drive them

  • @custom240sx I agree with most of this statement, but Ford does the same thing with Mercury and Lincoln; same car but different body.

  • @redvision350 nothing wrong with that, it saves money. Mazda is putting the next gen MX5 and the RX9 on the same chassis as it is going to be extremely strong as well as light. The sad part is that GM is still losing money using this cost saving method.

  • @custom240sx I just really hope you don't think all American's are like that... Because I'm an American and I have a very open mind about cars. Just like you hate those ignorant hardcore american fans, I hate being pre-judged for being an american.

  • @custom240sx STFU FAGGOT go drive your econobox honda and go get good gas mileage or something

  • @mastaajbomb lol mad redneck

  • @MrWimz roar

  • @custom240sx Yeah, GM has to be the worst of the American car brands. I think the only real, lasting credit they have to their name is their pick-up trucks & SUVs, which may last for a while, but even if they do, they're USUALLY covered in rust, or absolutley hoarding fuel without a justifiable amount of power output to compensate. Infact, most of the fuel seems to go to making horrible noises...

  • @custom240sx You are joking right? Ford took more money than GM and Chrysler combined from private investors. In no way am i defending GM because GM is pure shit, but you gotta admit that the High end Chrysler products such as the 300c,Viper,etc are good. =P

  • @custom240sx im an american lover .. i own an Evo 9 FQ-400 and a '71 Dodge Challenger and i admit that in some points My Evo Is Better Then The Challenger .. ;)

  • @custom240sx holden vxr8 or holden clubsport owned by gm but built in Australia

  • @custom240sx GM may make cheap cars but they led the world in fuel economy with power..way before it was cool...way back when Japanese Auto makers were still trying to figure out how we did it. It's not our Fault the CEO's of GM are a bunch of greedy unethical business men. My old man worked for GM from 1950 to 1995 he always said that the GM executives were/are the greediest of them all. Hell GM made electric cars back in the 60's that never went to production. Ford makes worse cars than GM

  • And if i wanted a car that was old technoligy i would buy a 10 year old + used car and save a lot of money. I am not a rotory head either i used to own an rx-8 and i am glad i got rid of it bad gas milage and no power but oh well. Still ran everyday with out any problems. cant say that about my friends S10 or girlfriends Malibu.

  • @custom240sx lol yeah the mazda rx for the lighthearted ... Maybe try a twin or single turbocharged model then complain? Cutsom 240sx? You have a s13 with the shittest engine ever produced my Nissan... Sr or Ca all the way not you KA you fool

  • @djresche87 actually i had this account made when i was a lot younger and had a 240sx that ran 12.5:1 c/r on 110 leaded race gas. Why by an older turbo rx7 then have to spend a lot of money upgrading the cooling system to run reliably. I am done messing around with cars to drive everyday on the street.

  • sure you are an idiot, look at their sales. They are not making money, and i am glad. They have been selling piece of shit cars for so long now and its finally catching up with them. Have you ever sat in a corvette? The interior is made of hard cheap feeling plastic, and the worksmanship is less than what you would find on a euporean car or most Lexus, Infinity type cars. Cadillacs are also plagued by this lack of quality. They just make cheap cars. Its fine but dont act like they are special

  • and you also cant defend them, they took all that money and got a "bail out," and they are still hemorrhaging money, and cant sell any cars.

  • and the only reason why american v8's seem reliable is because they have been in production since forever and they have most of the kinks worked out. BTW that means you are paying money for a 30 year old lump of out dated engineering. For the amount of engineering you get you should pay at most like $10,000 for any GM product. Even the new engines still use push rod V8's, cmon... Maybe thats why they cant make any money they need to go out of business, need to stop rewarding bad companies

  • not true, 4 rotors are actually very reliable because they are basicly to stock 13b motors put together. There is a video on youtube of one that is running pump gas making 500 HP and he has made little modifications to the actual motor ( aside from sticking 2 of them together ). They dont run turbos so many of the problems the 13b turbos had are not present.

  • your just plan being dumb its a N/A rotary built by a very good shop. its making huge numbers and has been used as a track car, and a top speed car and has been running fine for years.

  • LOL..and you have proof of this. NO you don't . Another rotard liar!

  • I am sure the shop did a good job, but it doesn't matter who built it, it won't last. The Wanker engine is a poor design from the get go.

  • your retarded hmmm lets take a look o yeah the Mazda 787B ran in the 24 hour lemans series not only did it kill everything in its class but it did it with a 2.6L engine.and guess what the motor is still running fine when they take it to track meets and the car has been around since 1990. so proof if its built right it will last and you keep talking shit. but what the hell do you dive im pulling on a V6 mustang with flames on it.

  • dude your such an idiot the motor has 3 moving parts how can that be more complicated than a reciprocating motor. They are unreliable sometime because people take a stock 13b turbo and put big turbos on them and not upgrade fuel system and cooling like they should have.

  • I never said the internal of the motor is complicated. However all of the supporting systems make the engine complicated. Look at the engine bay of a fuel injected rotary. A piston engine is a lot easier to support and very easy to assemble.

  • @aji8 a bad worksmen always blames his tools =) nuff said

  • ok no substitute for cube v8s are one thing but i wouldent bag a rotary just another way of looking at engines they are soft but still offer good power they say that rotarys are perfect for hydrogen because of the way it combusts one thing is for sure they hate low octane fuel premium or better

  • you know why rotor got banned from F1 racing? piston engine are already loser so dun be talking sh;t about rotor engine until u get ur hand on one of these

  • that sound gave me an orgasm, lol

  • i made a ringtone out of this

  • true azn. most motors sound like there gonna break when they rev high. rotor engines love that shit.

  • I wonder if they could do a 6 rotor dual 20b? ^_^

  • well probly u could but u would have to do alot of fab and 1 of parts to make that work

  • you would just need a longer crank arm and slap two 3rotor engines together

  • Im an engine rebuilder and nothing is impossible, but you would have to create a very high tech encentric shaft we heaps of counterweights and what not to stop the thing snapping. but imagine that the 40b haha what animal of an engine

  • It would just be a 40B. V12 power. only lighter, may even be unstable lol.

  • leave ur car at 8k rpm and this engine at 8k rpm ur engine will plown first and this engine will outlast any of ur ass

  • Hehe, Apex Seals.

  • It sounds like a 1/8 Nitro Buggy.

  • no F1 biotch

  • no one forcing you to look asshole

  • your an idiot

  • you spend all your time going around youtube bagging rotaries and telling people they should put a V8 boat anchor under the hood of an RX7?. By doing that you will ruin one of the better handling cars that you can buy. If you want a car thats rwd quick in a straight line that can also handle corners well, then you leave the rotary in it. If youre only after straight line speed and you want a boat anchor under the hood? then buy a corvette

  • The housings are aluminum, and the end plates are iron. You are the fool for posting your ignorance.

  • most people can pick up a 13b block by themselves with no assistance, unless your a gorilla i think you will struggle with the v8. As for the rotary motor being obsolete, the moter is still only 60 years from being on the drawing board. four stroke motors have been around for over one hundred years. Go back 40yrs and you will find the conventional four stroke was not as reliable as it is today.

  • The series 8 rx7 was producing the japanese limit for engine power (206kw)back in 1998. Put a decent exhaust intercooler on any rx7 and 300hp atw is very easy to achieve, without any engine modifications. Spend a bit more money on an extended port with 3mm seals and say a garret 3582r with a bigger fuel pump and secondary injectors and you will have over 400hp@tw on about 18psi boost, all relliable if you look after it.

  • and tell me how reliable was the average 4 stroke 40 - 50 years ago? A lot of people would consider the rotary motor to still be in the early stages of development compared to a conventional motor. Not obsolete at all. If everybody thought like you we would probably all still be travelling around by horse and cart

  • I dont think so, 150,000k was considered to be good. Its only in the last twenty or so years that a conventional 4 stroke motor has begun to outlast the chassis of the vehicle that it is in. And thats a low stressed motor, and the more highly tuned the motor the less reliable it becomes.

  • sounds like you bought a lemon. But the linkage between the drivers seat and the steering wheel also has a lot to do with it, if you dont look after it it wont look after you.

  • no engine lasts forever! not even your precious ls1. You cannot compare a rotory to your average toyota corolla which will do over 400000 k's. If the rotor put out the same power/capacity as your average v8 it you might see it doing 400000k.

Its just not everybody likes an asthmatic V8

  • still trawling the depths of youtube? nice fella, just got my 13b in the TR7, i love it! no V8 so it still goes around corners properly!

  • you really dont get england do you, you might be able to run a V8 in the good old US of A! but not in england fella, and why are you talking about racing? i dont race? i made this car as a project and im pretty pleased with it, cos the TR weighs as much as a fart im getting 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, now thats not too slow at all :)

  • if you dont like it aij8 then piss off

  • england is a poor example for anything? racist aswell man? not very nice that is it, and when my engine goes pop? this car is only used to get me to college which is about a 3 mile round trip, dont think its gonna be going 'pop' any time soon bro

  • haha whatever man! and i know im correct about driving only 3 miles? i really dont get you at all there, and the engine was only put in about 4 days ago, i love how you think you know my car better than me, and still no vids of your RX7 V8? im slowly starting to think it doesnt even exist, cos lets face it, if you really had this car you would put a video of it up, yes?

  • clicked your profile, no vids of it there, if you have a car like that you would have a video, simple, ive got a piece of crap TR7 and even i put videos up

  • still no videos of it tho? thought not

  • i just want to see this infamous RX7 V8, and yeah the standard engine was slow as you like, and the V8 is a good swap but it is a pain to get any decent power out of, as for the 2.0 it was slow to start with, i did add a few mods to it, new cam bore out etc etc, then that engine blew up on me one morning, hell maybe in a few weeks i'll drop another V8 in there, the rotary was only put in there to see if actually could be done, its fast yeah but i do fancy some 8 cylinder power atm.

  • never wasnt interested mate, its just the insurance, when i put in the 13b my insurance actually went down, trying to insure a V8 TR7 is gonna be a mission, the rover V8 would be more insurance friendly but eventually i would like an LT1, ah well thats not gonna be for a few years yet

  • i told them, if i crash and its not the standard engine in the car i dont get paid, dont really want that tbh

  • Iron housings? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA not even the old ass 12A had iron in them. They've ALWAYS been made with steel and aluminum. Lol, you're so clueless that all I can do is laugh at your stupidity.

  • Steel is only 60% iron, smart guy, and MUCH lighter than cast iron, lol. I've worked for Oregon Steel Company, so I've already won this argument. Byebye now :)

  • You've already been proven wrong many times over about rotaries, and now you're being a bitch-ass hypocrite by talking shit and insulting instead of proving facts. Alright, fat child in his mommy's basement, you're done. It's over. Rotaries win, piston shitbox V8s lose. End of discussion.

  • Um, let's see NO they didn't catch on because they are expensive to maintain. Sorry you're so broke, faggot, but rotaries are faster than any piston engine. You're on silence, so SHH.

  • Shh.
