Yes, this is around late 1989/early 1990.,, at the beginning of the Toscano diary pages fiasco, months before the cruise and before Jack stopped her wedding to Emilio. Jack doesn't have feelings for Isabella but he leads Jennifer to believe so to push her away. They may not have even kissed at this stage. But the better question is...what the hell is Jennifer wearing?!!! Boy, they sure put her in some awful clothing back then.

To further clarify...in the beginning, Jack liked Jennifer and playfully pursued her (under the ruse of their employer/employee friendship) until she caught onto it and she started having genuine feelings for him as well. When he realized this, he got scared and pushed her away. That's where we are in the story here.
