  • I wonder how you play the flute. I don't know if my flute is good or not, b/c it's seem that I can't blow in correctly

  • Well done! I Just received a Xiao in the key of D, I am a Native American Flute player and this is a whole new experience for me.

  • Awesome job, I just ordered my first xiao flute, nine holed version from Hong Kong. Do you know where I might get some xiao sheet music?

  • If this is you playing for the first time, it makes me wanna quit haha. I've started playing Shaku about two weeks ago...I've loved the sound of Chinese and Japanese flutes since I was a child. Would like to get one of these next :-) Good job!

  • beautiful

  • you're amazing, I love the low pitch jumps you get on that instrument, it makes me feel like I'm in a jungle like environment. :)

  • get a life lol

  • This is really terrific! How does this compare to shakuhachi? Is it as difficult to learn the basics on? And, is there a solo repetoire? Most of the xiao recordings I have heard all have many other instruments on them.

  • It's the same species of instrument, shakuhachi came from china to begin with (chak-bat in Middle Chinese, chiba is the modern Mandarin pronunciation, Chek-baat in Cantonese) It's longer and produces a fuller, less raspy sound, it almost sounds like an Irish Low Whistle. There is solo repertoire. Though the famous Xiao pieces are duets with the Guqin. The recordings you hear are of more recent musical history. The further you go back in time, the closer Chinese music sounds like Japanese music.

  • nice!

  • beautifull^^

  • graceful playing!

  • Hablas español¿

    queria hacerte unas pregutnas

    gracias

  • it may be advisable to adjust the contact at the tip of the Xiao. The high pitch may then be reduced. Good work.

  • very beautiful, whts the piece called?

  • I just bought a xiao, but I haven't been able to get a decent sound out of it. Can someone help me in how to get the right direction/angle to blow air from?

  • I've heard that the best sound from the xiao comes at a 45 degree angle.

  • Xiao+Erhu+Guzheng+some kind of matching purcussion+creative mind+good computer=making my own music to play mmorpg's on lol.

Well and lots of fun too

  • I wish I could play too. It's such a beautiful sound. Keep up the playing!

  • What's the name of the song? It's sweet

  • The controlled beauty of traditional Chinese music lies in this: not a pleading note for recognition but an extension of the metaphysical existence in the individual. Well done.

  • Sissi, I love your stile... Sounds like a Chinese

Tone. But this is your stile, so sweet...

  • I will add more videos soon after the IELTS test. Thanks for all the comments!:)

  • I'm really sorry ,Aetherus7 . I remove a good comments from you because of a wrong click

  • Very nice tune, and you play it well, BTW

  • I just myself a xiao. it's very cool, and it made improve on my (poor excuse of) playing the shakuhachi. I need a guqin too. I luv chinese music!!

  • well done, that was very good in my opinion.

  • u r good i have a crush on you...
