Do you have to mark the cut-off for each reflector when aligning the projector's beam or can u use the same cut-off mark from the right side for the left side?
First of all, don't you need to remove the reflective material on the original headlight housing? Secondly, how are the lights holding up now that you have them installed?
@dakotapollard Some people like to paint the stock reflector flat black for a different look. Looks nice and really sets off the shrouds that cover the projector's sides.
@888forme Of coarse you will need to test them on your vehicle before seal the lens back on. If you have a good headlight all you will need to do is adjust the cut off line and the headlight it's self will allow you to adjust the beam of light up down and left to right
@burningpoop ... That didn't make sense. What I meant to say is if you have a good headlight, then all you will need to do with the projector is adjust the cut off line so it is parallel with the ground, as far as the light being to high or to far to the right. All you need to do (given that you didn't install the projector at an angle in the housing) is adjust the beam of light using your headlights adjustments
i had a question if anybody could help me...my headlights are 9007 and i know these use a H1 type bulb..i know theres an adapter plate, but what i dont understand how does the adapter help? how would i connect it to my cars headlight?
@jerry2peluda Assuming your using a HID set up, at TRS they have a 9007 wiring harness that plugs into your ballast, which plugs into your bulb. The wiring harness also controls the high / low beam feature of the projectors, so it will need to be wired to a power source.
Do the washers and brackets that come with the kit lock the projector such that it is rotationally level, or is there room for error? I haven't seen much discussion on the Dakota retrofits I've found mentioning how to get the beam cutoff absolutely level.
Thanks for doing the videos, they are much appreciated!
"how the hell you gonna get that piece on - if that shit's in the way" hah good line, I lold. Considering purchasing from the retrofit store myself - they been good to you?

@dakotapollard What do you mean remove reflective material? Like the corner reflector?
Anyway I had these headlights on my R/T until I sold it in August. It held up to the elements and showed no signs of moisture inside the headlight

Great vid and thanks for posting. But, how would you know the aim is correct without doing any testing?
