@SuperNintendoGameboy R doesn't make the gun shoot faster, it makes the bullets travel faster through the screen! if you want an example try to go to level 2 (base) on the original contra (NES) with an S with no R equiped, you will notice the shots are pretty slow, now don't kill the first wall and wait for the red guy with a R appears, kill him then get the R and start shooting, BAZAM you just found out how the R works, now my job is done here... off to watch some Speedrun quality gameplays! =D

I know about that, and yes it sucks. But I got all the 40 extra missions with probotector so it wasen't that bad. But my comment about probotector was that you could play as him, not that he is better or worse in game compared to the other characters. However, I do think he is more cool than bill and lance. they are basicially just rambo rip-offs in my opinion, but please note that I respect others that don't agree with me. It is just a matter of taste really.

The enemies will point up or down in certain areas of the stages and, because of its inability to shoot enemies that are above or below it, the Probotector will be seeing lots of death from above or below, period. I do not know how you play Contra but I follow three simple rules when I play the game. 1. Kill everything on the screen. 2. Get the bad ass guns. 3. Stay alive! Do I need to say more to you, sir?

The first Quake was 64 players max. Id love to get at least 16 simultaneous in a Contra Game. Id Have Death Matches as well too for those tired of killing Aliens.
