@8BitStranger That's why I hate labels. Of course SD and RA can both be labeled punk, but they are in no way comparable to each other. I myself prefer the more hardcore style RA plays (no offense, but SD is like elevator lunge compared to RA), and considering the amount of fans they have, I don't think this 'is' bad. all a matter of taste. ps. RA also has some very nice acoustic songs, which you'll probably enjoy, if you liked the first part. no hate, just a difference in taste :)

Okay this was pretty cool. But rise against is fucking terrible, way too political, all their songs sound the same. I will admit I like some of their songs but i just don't understand what hardcore fans see in them.

Though I like Rise Against's version because it adds a little power to the song. Which seems to bring out the punk rock mentality of the song itself a little better.

@AdamCE91 we hardcore fans see whats behind their songs, no one who listens one or two times to their songs knows about what they are singing about. quite no song comes out and tells you "hey this is my meaning!" they force you to think about the lyrics, and damn, they are great, real and tough. also the music itself sounds awesome, tim as singer anyway, and if you would have really listend to their songs, you wouldnt say anything stupid (sorry) about "they sound the same" .. truly not

I'm just saying most of the songs i've heard, the lyrics are usually something along the lines of "We're opressed but if we stand up and fight, we wont be, and we'll be happy" I've only heard a select few, but that's what i got out of it. Idk, i've been downloading tons of albums for free lately thanks to a nifty little website... Maybe I'll check out an album or 2 and give them a chance.
