Yes arabs do treat women bad. women are slaves under arabs, and other muslims. women are forced to wear rags on their har and faces for life in most arab nations. in arab countries women are not allowed to vote, drive or own property and in some cases not even attend school. women/girls can be sold/traded like live stock under arabs.
are you saying that is good for women? i got this informatio n form arab women who managed to escape form their arab jailors husbands
@otherworldtrader1 as a woman who's lived and rose in an Arabic country. I'll correct what you are saying, first woman are not slave, I'm treated like princess by my father brothers and husband. no one can force me to do something I do not want to do. about covering our faces and hair you can also see same thing in America and England Muslim do that there, too. we do it because we love our religion and respect every thing about it. Moreover, women can own properties as much as she can.
@1aboor you are wrong. are yuo saying there are no morality cops in saudia arabia whoose jobe is to arrest woment seen acting like they have the same libertes as men. if so yuo ar eprobly male.maybe a few ulta rich women get by with a little but not many women can drive there.none can vote, nor do anything outside of what their husbands mandate for them. it's yuo ar ejust pawns in a mans world if you are female and you know it. internet connects can be lost if females us it
@mjay22 You guessed it right: My mother is Dutch but one of her great-great-grandmothers was indeed Indonesian. My fathers parents were both Polish/Jewish. That mix explains my non-Dutch looks.
Yes chuckmonkey7337, she has one, but a beautiful and perhaps unique one; and she is courageous as well, and her voice is very pliant. She keeps surprising me.
In singing, she has a very mild accent. When she sings high notes at the end of sentences, you can tell it is more opera-like than Andalusian singing (which this song is).
In talking, she is talking standard Arabic, definitely with an accent.
I am indeed a singing teacher, but in Arabic music I consider myself a beginner. I started in this 'field' three years ago. But in the future I will try to teach Arabic music and singing too. But Canada is quite far from the Netherlands and I never tried to teach trough a webcam, it could be fun though :). But singing is something very fysical, I think it not possible through the internet...
Thanks for the compliment...I have no Moroccan roots(unfortunately(:-). My father is from Poland and my mother is Dutch but she has some Indonesian genes.
Bravo. What's the name of the song she's singing at 2:42? we learned it in my arabic class but I don't know what it's called

@otherworldtrader1 Are you trying to say that Arabs treat women badly? Go learn some history before watching CNN and learning bad things about Arabs!
