You should match a jl amp to the jl w1. Sony plods are fine but crap in no time and are basically just pieces of shit. That amps really only running 300w RMS @ 1ohm, alright amp tho.

that sub is 300RMS.. a little note.. JL is more for SQ... so sounding nice.. kickers are more so SPL .. so being louder.. your kickers will bash most average jl subs in terms of loudness.but any jl will sound better..it really depends on what you want.. im not bashing anything here.just sayin.jl is SQ and their good for it.and they work great with even smaller amounts of pwoer.. but not too loud.. kicker is loud but sloppy sounding! especically compared to jl.. pm me if you wanna know more! :D
