Yah the backs of my arms are so sore I know this is working. It targeted my flabby area. I lift weights on a universal 3x/wk so I am pretty buff but still had waveback flab. . This simple movement I know will do it. Looking for next videos.
ARMPIT FAT: You need to work the Latissimus dorsi muscle. First, Buy yourself a chin up bar. Then do chin ups and pull ups. Note the space of grip has to be right. If you have some weights then deadlifts and bent over rows are also good. Also pull downs if you have a home gym are also good.
Nothing in this video will target the area below the ARMPIT.
@herefordmsv I appreciate what you wrote but I am working on Triceps muscles not armpit. This info you wrote will hopefully help someone that is looking more for a backwork out. My clients cant do chin ups and pull ups. IsoBreathing is the "Kindergarten" of exercise. That is why I post extreme basics. @KittyKranker Hi Kitty of course you can't spot reduce but you can tighten muscle. If you press against the wall you are getting posterior deltoid if you tighten up your arms you can also target triceps muscles.Please dont forget that this is for the extreme beginner.
The stretch does target the triceps muscles. I'm not sure where you are getting your info from. Everything I have learned over the years does promote this type of stretch for triceps and it is also everywhere on google searches.

@everythinggirl1000 if you are speaking of the front part of your shoulder to the underneath section of your armpit then Pushups are the way to go. The last three snippets that I put up (arms abs and legs part 1,2,and 3) will be great for you. let me know how it goes

Great video and really good info! :) The problem is that a lot of men and women are being tricked by the "gurus" and they only focus on doing exercises, while ignoring their diet. Fat loss from one specific body part is impossible to achieve and people instead of looking for info on how to get rid of flabby arms should first of all learn how to reduce their body fat levels :)

This exercise is for those who do not belong to a gym and for those who need a starting point. This exercise alone will not give you the definition that you desire. That takes several exercises and weights.
@inderdaadmeneer how long did you hold the isometric for? How many repetitions did you do? How many days did you do this for? It takes time for change to happen and it doesn't happen overnight. There are also many factors that are involved in tightening your triceps. This is only one of many tricep exercises that need to be done to get the results that you want. Are you also getting in aerobic activity along with healthy nutrition?
@comet48583 we all have one arm slightly stronger than the other. Try to hold the isometric longer and see if that helps. If not there are other exercises for working triceps. You just may need something more intense.
@paleovipin THis segment was not suposed to be about diet. As far as the drinking water there is a fine line between hunger and thirst. I encourage a glass of water and wait 20 minutes, then see if you are still hungry. This is not meant to replace a meal but inbetween
@Frances717 Thank you for the recommendation. Reminds me of a toy my grandmother made for me when I was a kid. It is just another gadget. You have to use it to lose it. With just that gadget the 5minutes a day won't cut it. They forget to tell you about the rest.
i'm going to florida in the first week of may this year with the fam and i got new bathing suit but my arms if i start now will it help look my arms better in my bathing suit

@WahBam123 Yes this works if you do it consistantly every day. Being this is an easy exercise you would need to perform this a few times a day. I just placed two other snippets on youtube for the triceps area. Do the combo of all three once a day and in 2-3 weeks you will start to see a difference.

Like anything if you do it consistantly it will work. This exercise can be performed a few times a day to really work the muscles. You can also perform dips and kickbacks to define the muscle even more with moderate to heavy weights. ( if you are not sure what dips and kickbacks are let me know)
As far as your arms changing take a measurement right under your armpit with a tape measure. At the gym have a trainer take a caliper measurement. In 3-4 weeks you should see a difference & remeasure

To avoid larger arms yes this exercise will help. Still perform your other exercises but use light weights and perform lots of repetitions for more defination without the bulk. Only perform one set of 15-20 reps instead of many sets. This will help and in about 3-4weeks you will see a difference. Let me know how it goes
Gee to be 22 again and work out for 2-3 hours a day. Not at this point in my life. I am very happy teaching and the clients I work with dont mind a little flab:) Another words I am non intimidating for the clients I work with.
You do a nice job and regardless of your age you do have a well built body. The point is that trainers posting here look fresh, young and excited as if they had the magic to make one look amazing in 2 weeks. Your experience comes up when you try to make it simple and easy to practise anywhere. Now if most of these kids would do it in spite of making useless comments they could feel the difference while they are young. I am young and I try, I get nice results so far.

The best exercise for toning up the chest is pushups. I do have a few snippets starting with the extreme beginner which is standing pushups to intermediate and then advanced. I do not know what your strengthes are so start with the extreme beginner and feel your muscles working. If that is too easy then by all means increase your intensity with the intermediate which is on the floor on your knees.
how long are you doing this now. Because , honestly, I would not want your arms (do not take it personal) but they just do not look muscular and toned, they are thin, but that is it. Use some small weights, that should do it.

You can perform this once a day or if you choose more often 2-3 times a day. I have had i ndividuals do this once a day and obtain results and have had those that performed this a few times (2-3) per day and obtain results quicker. Personally I perform 2-3 varied tricep exercises through out the day. Variety is the key for best results.

You can hold the isometric untill your muscles fatigue or you get that very slight burning in the muscle. Relax your arms and then repeat two to three more times. This exercise can be performed a few times a day. The stretches can be held for a minimum of 15 seconds. With this exercise you will feel a difference first and then see a difference in a few weeks.

For someone over 50 and not a body builder what do you expect. A little bit of body fat is healthy. By the way that is me and I am very happy. I am not looking for that hard cut look any more. Other things in life are more important to me. There are lots of other programs out there that will get you that hard cut look if that is what you are looking for. My program is to get individuals started with a healthier lifestyle and basic exercise. LOL:)
If you are really feeling a contraction of the tricep muscle group you will start to feel a tightening in the muscles in one week.(you are doing these daily) In three weeks you should be able to see a difference. (take a measurement of your upper arm and then wait the three weeks. You should see a difference) This exercise is not going to build bulk. If you are looking for a reduction you need to eat healthy, watch calories and get in aerobic activity. Let me know how it goes.

The only way to lose body fat is 1. watch your nutritional intake 2. some form of aerobic activity to burn calories 3. some form of strength training - the more muscle fibers you have the more calories you will burn when exercising.
Fat does not turn into muscle. Two different types of cell groups. You get rid of fat by shrinking your fat cells. The type of exercises I give on you tube you can not build bulk. In general if you are a female you can not build bulk unless you are working out with very heavy weights and super setting a number of times a week and taking huge amounts of muscle building supplements.
You will be reducing your fat cells and sculpting muscle or developing it so it has a nice look to it. Not bulk.
The next thing you need to do is increase the intensity. Instead of just tightening your arms now push against a resistance. Stand with your back to a wall and allow your palms to touch the wall. Now push back as hard as you can and hold for a few deep breaths. Your arms will continue to tighten and you will notice a difference.

For someone over 50 and not a body builder what do you expect. A little bit of body fat is healthy. By the way that is me and I am very happy. I am not looking for that hard cut look any more. Other things in life are more important to me. There are lots of other programs out there that will get you that hard cut look if that is what you are looking for. My program is to get individuals started with a healthier lifestyle and basic exercise. LOL:)

If you are really feeling a contraction of the tricep muscle group you will start to feel a tightening in the muscles in one week.(you are doing these daily) In three weeks you should be able to see a difference. (take a measurement of your upper arm and then wait the three weeks. You should see a difference) This exercise is not going to build bulk. If you are looking for a reduction you need to eat healthy, watch calories and get in aerobic activity. Let me know how it goes.

This feels good! I already am doing some arm work outs each morning, but this is great for those days where I wake up too late and just need something to get me through the day. I am a school teacher and have a lot of moments in between classes where I could do these. Thanks!

The only way to lose body fat is 1. watch your nutritional intake 2. some form of aerobic activity to burn calories 3. some form of strength training - the more muscle fibers you have the more calories you will burn when exercising.
Sorry there is no magic bullet.

Fat does not turn into muscle. Two different types of cell groups. You get rid of fat by shrinking your fat cells. The type of exercises I give on you tube you can not build bulk. In general if you are a female you can not build bulk unless you are working out with very heavy weights and super setting a number of times a week and taking huge amounts of muscle building supplements.
You will be reducing your fat cells and sculpting muscle or developing it so it has a nice look to it. Not bulk.

The next thing you need to do is increase the intensity. Instead of just tightening your arms now push against a resistance. Stand with your back to a wall and allow your palms to touch the wall. Now push back as hard as you can and hold for a few deep breaths. Your arms will continue to tighten and you will notice a difference.
