@7855waldo That's not what pathetic fallacy means. Anyway, if you work with the same group of people for a long time you can form a solid sense of camaraderie. Nothing silly about that.
I'm sure on some TV shows, the "big happy family" thing is just put on, but when you work with someone for so long, you get to know them in a way that is closer than most people. That's not to say that everything is all sunshine & roses, but I rather doubt that there is any serious animosity between the members of the Frasier cast. For example, Peri Gilpin is the godmother for Jane Leeves' daughter Isabella, and Mahoney and Pierce are godfathers for her son. I doubt that is fake.
@thecaronthelawn - Your comments are right & true in spirit and of fact as they pertain to these individuals.
What I was alluding to was the absurdity of any group of people - or someone speaking for them, as this liberty has been abused by Mr. Mars in Scorpio - misusing the concept of "family" - which has nothing to do with heart-felt caraderie among these genuine arttists.
Who the fuck in their right minds cut that scene of Frasier yelling at the construction workers? That was one of the funniest moments I've ever seen. Seriously, an entire episode consisting of nothing but Frasier yelling at random people would have me in constant stitches.
@v19d, yes, this is when NBC was a network one could watch for longer than five minutes without feeling the overwhelming need to commit suicide coming on.
Glad the "We" network brought it back into syndication!! :)

Great, but the pathetic fallacy that members of a cast are self-stated members of a "family" is tragi-comic.
The show is done for financial profit. Period. These are no more members of a family than by my typing this, the reader is somehow related to me.
