I want to play as a DPS Barb. This is because i'm going to play with my friend and he's going to be most likely the demon hunter. So ill be taking agro while he is runnin and gunnin. But companions alter the game as well. The templar is a tank type warrior so I would be a DPS Barb anyway. But keep in mind there is basically infinite respecs. And of course there is the rune system. But it's not finallized. But i'm very excited for this game and keep up the good work!!!!

my build was going to be massive fury generation with call the anchents and gap closers like charge and leap, with the gold rune every 10 fury generated is 1 more second to wrath of berserker, frenzy with obsidion rune makes you run 15% faster, more then likely to use daggers or somthing with super high attack speed, becuase the faster you use your skills, the faster you generate fury and the longer you stay in berserker mode.

@lycon7000 yes, it is possible to play co-op from the very beginning. however, most people join public games where it is already on the last portion of the beta so they can kill the final boss and get more experience and better loot. but if you add a friend, you can make a party and play the whole way through, or just the end portion if you'd like.

@ForceSC2strategy That was even better than the original Let's Play of the beta, back in the day. I've a question based on the loot drop from the Skeleton King: is it coincidence that he dropped two yellow Barbarian-only items? Or is some of the loot tailored to the class that gets it?

Force, in the video you mention that the developers want to make normal (white) items feel pretty much useless, so that you feel better about magic/rare/unique items, and you show that white items sell for very little gold. In Diablo 2 white items had a purpose because of sockets and runewords. Now that runewords are gone and runes are only used to boost and customize your skills, white items lost their mojo. Might as well remove them entirely from the game, right?What are your thoughts on that?

Weapon Throw (leftclick) + Indigo Rune (Ricochet @ 5 further Targets)

Synergies: No Escape(Passive ->Furygain/+Dmg), Unforgiving

(Passive ->Furygain), Ruthless(Passive -> +Critchance)

The rest will be some +Critchance stuff to regenerate enough Fury on each attack and instant fury spenders. It´s for the later part of the game, cause u will need a high critchance, but there is no doubt, that it will ROCK :D Greets from germany, keep it up force, ur do a great job

When I make my Barbarian at the release of Diablo 3 I am going to focus mainly on Fury generation by using passive skills like Animosity and Unforgiving. I also really like hacking and slashing and not attacking from a range, so I wont be using skills like Weapon Throw. Instead I will be using Hammer of the Ancients and Whirlwind. I don't know what kind of Barbarian that makes me but thats how I plan to play.

@ForceSC2strategy now here's my question/comment. blizzard wants to make white items useless, but how many of us would still pick them up back in D2 because they still sold for 20-50k a piece because the repairs on our runeword stuff was several hundred thousand? so one white item wont be as much as any other item, but since so many white items drop and we pick them all up, thats going to be more gold than selling 1-2 blue or yellow items.

I'm going a dual weild Frenzy barb for my softcore barb and an Iron barb for Hardcore. (Ironbarb = full on defensive approach - Sword+sheild+Cleave+focus on defense/reduce damage/resists/etc/safety skills etc)

Definately Barbarian will be my "main" character...

I think I will go with a Dual-wielding Barb.

Frenzy-Leap attack as main Fury generators, with Battle Rage and Whirlwind as spenders.

Will for sure use Revenge as situational skill.

On the 6th I have not decided yet.

Absolutely love the idea, of landing on top of my enemies.

And Frenzy and Whirlwind bring back sweet memories from D2.

Force, you've mentioned "going gold" a couple times, without knowing (or at least saying correctly) what it actually is. For the future, it is when they make the master mold from which all the game discs will be cast, and send it off for replication. This means that no further changes can be made to the game without DLC or patches.

Since the master for some media was gold, it became known as the golden master, hence the term going gold. I believe they use glass for DVDs, but the phrase stuck.

Definitely can't decide between 2 1H's or 1 2H. From the beta footage, 2H looks very weak, and I love the notion of being a frenzy + ww Barb (Fury Generator + Spender), but I just love 2H's so much, but at the moment, it doesn't look viable, especially with the extra stats from an extra weapon with two 1 hand weapons

any barbarian that takes weapon throw, and doesn't rune it so that it throws dead bodies instead of weapons, is a barbarian that hates fun. Aside from that, my barbarian will be a heavy hitting Juggernaut. The idea of a fast hitting blender of death is nice, but that's what my monk will do. My barbarian will be all about the massive twohanders, cleave, ground stomp, leap attack, basically anything that can reduce my enemies to powder in one massive hit, while ignoring damage done in return

If they keep it, I'm liking the rune for leap that's called launch, wondering if it will make your character reach towards the top of the screen then slam down and wipe out everything.

Reiteration: Please do not include any shared stash items in your future play throughs as the God-mode style gives an unrealistic feel to how the classes carry themselves if you start at lvl 2 with just smashing skulls due to higher lvl blues found on other toons.
