  • So verynice natural vives!

    Not copy。

    excellent!!

  • Really, really, REALLY A GOOD JOB.

  • I regularly troll you tube looking up djembe solos and sessions. A lot of comments are made about 'style', 'rhythm', etc. Basically making judgements on the play of others. Then these comments get rebuttled by people defending the drumming spirit. To all fellow drummers out there, allowing the arrogant commenters to change your attitude will affect your drumming. Take solace in the fact that you are having fun and the judgers are not. George and Zanlo are just kicking back and laughing...gj!

  • Absolutely fantastic. Amazing duo. O.O

  • you have no rhythm...

  • u'r fuckin' good! :D

En tout cas, même si ça date, c'est juste géniale, ça vient de me redonner envie de me mettre au djembé <3

  • Énorme!!

  • Defenately the best Djembe drummers on the tube! Well done dudes! Would love to jam with you guys!!!

  • Given the number of random amateur djembe players on youtube who post and comment about how to properly play the djembe, they should all be paying closer attention to the two of you. I am assuming that the two of you are not pros (even though at times you do sound professional) and if that is true, you guys have the skill, rhythm, and passion to boast about yourselves. Great video, i have watched it multiple times over the last two years. BEST JAM SESSION EVER!!!

  • These guys are really good, you can listen to this over and over.

  • guys, very nice. greetings from miami

  • very nice... keep going...

  • :)))))))))))))

  • You must be the only djembe players in Swiss land if you're the best.

  • At the beginning the name was just for the fun. I did not think that there would be so much people which would come to see it. It is for that I changed the name. Obviously that we are not the best in Switzerland... ;-) (sorry for my english but i use a ''translator'' ;-)

  • Dude, I was teasing you, you guys are truly amazing, the way you work off of each other in sync and off beat is awesome. Keep on rocking!

  • Thx...

  • 3:30 and Up is crazyy

  • pretty good how old are you 2 actually?

  • 29 for me (zanlo) and 27 for my friend....

  • Very nice!! :)

  • good sound. keep it well

  • really best!;)

  • très très bon ! continué

  • The mid tones ARE there, you have to listen for them. There is a purposeful sound to this groove and just because they don't frequent the mid tones as much as you would like does not diminish the talent and excellent rhythm and orignal quality that these two drummers have. The pulse is intense, pursuant, and exciting. Feel it with your heart and not your head - the djembe is a rhythm in the heart!

  • very very very good!!111

  • W0oooooooww,, Niceeeeee,,!! :D

  • These guys are the absolute best I've ever heard. Their variations are extremely precise and there is definitely intended pitch variations; can hear all the slaps, tones and bass. The cool thing is they not only do it so clean and so well, but with perfect precision. The drums are tight and sounds are strikingly moving - building a creshendo of intensity and rhythm - like the train that sounds in the background, the drummers move the spirit forward into the passion. Want their DVD!

  • abosolutely mezmerizing! Great timing and crisp slaps and sychronocity!

  • @nrfrance balance une video du con

  • mencantaaaa!!!

  • The Djembe is an instrument, you can play whatever you want with it. I hate when people think that it can only play "West African music" or you are playing wrong. It's their groove they can play whatever they want, and personally i think they are awesome.

  • La " grande" musique africaine.

    MOUARF

  • @THLeboss21 balance une video abruti ,prouve que tu fais mieux mongole

  • Do you know why your djembe video doesn't sound as ornate and complex as the drumming that comes from Africa?

There is almost an entire lack of variation of tones...just two: striking the rim for high sound and then striking the middle for the bass sound

This is the problem with djembe players who go to drum circles and stuff. This is why almost all drum circles sound the same.

  • Its very good, i like this :)

  • Great flow

  • c'est super ce duo :)

  • Superb!

  • sooooo gooood !!!

  • This video is beautiful.

Sorry.... I speack English a bit.........

    goodbye

  • RESPECT!!!

  • Lovelyyy <3

  • complimenti !!!!!!!! Bravi de cagarse

  • niiice! And to all those people with their bad critiques: these guys are on their way, they have the groove down, they obviously have fun. THats the most important thing. This is not fuckin Ballett or something, its djembe.

  • PERFECT !! nice job dudes !

  • nice play, but far away from Africa sound...

  • waddup, uhmm sorry but do you call this good good technique but bad rhythms this is the basis beats:P lol check my account i play djembe also thanks =)

but they need to learn much:P

  • hmmm well of the 1 video i saw on your account of you playing im really not impressed. out of that video and this one i can groove this one much better.

I dont believe in judging the technique of a hand drummer, technique is in the rythem and the soul of the drumming

    an old Sufi saying, paraphrasing

the soul is a mirror, any negative qualities you see in others is the reflection of yourself. So see no wrong in the world and there will be no wrong with you.ds

  • waddup what ya mean MrSpliffjones sorry but i can judge that cuz its not the way i play and how can u judge me if u dont do a shyt?

    aaight message me back

    peace!

  • well like a said in the i dont judge technique of hand drummer, or of musicians really. i merely said your video didnt impress me.

I hate it when i listen to a video and i actually like it, i really digged the beat the swiss guys were layin down, and then i scroll down to read "bad technique" and thats bull. the musics good so its all good man.

and i dont have any videos cause i only got a shitty webcam, absolutely horrible quality for hand drumming.

  • Who are yo to judge clarinca. these guys are great

    the techniques in the music

  • C´mon, surely there are better djembe players in Switzerland than these guys. Bad technique but nice groove. Not really a west african influence though

  • oh yea, if your head isnt nodding to that, check your pulse.

Even got the train joining in, these dudes could change the migration of birds with that.

    Positivity!

  • not bad. easy rhythms but good harmonized

  • what's with the cupped hands? Need to try proper djembe technique.

  • Classical african rhytms, but greatly played....I know few players here in Czech republic who play those things really well, and they have half of your skillz, great.

  • i love it! its perfect simplicity! :)

    gotta learn this

  • it sounds like it's coming from one drum but good job

  • Tres bon rythme c est un appel a la teuf

  • very good ! had me bubblin!

  • amazing!!!

  • In the Name of His Majesty Emperor of Ethiopia King of Kings Haile Selassie I Jah Rastafarii bless forever bless!! Djembe is a Healing Force! keep on drumming! One Love!

  • god god godd

  • Very good. Liked the tempo changes. Can't wait to play with my friends again soon. Keep up the nice work.

  • I liked the tone of the djembes the most. Of course you guys have played quite nicely...but i think its the coordination between the two that speaks more than anything else...n yeah, i agree with outer432, its not imp to be the best, what is imp in music is to touch the listener's heart. that aim is being achieved to quite some extent, i must say. keep going.

  • Salut les gars. Un bon feeling. C'est sympas. Vous vous écoutez bien. Bonne continuation.

  • Toujours aussi bon!!!

  • i can understand that powerful feeling of playing in unison, and i commend you on this great session.

  • nice beat!

  • bravi!

  • Great!

  • i disagree with psycopirla, i thought it was cool as hell. Yeah, it might not've have been as good as like madady keita, but the point of music is not always to be the best, it is to groove and have flavor and passion in what you are playing, and you guys have it to the max. You were very conversational with eachother as well which i thought was cool, instead of one guy soloing and the other chilling, it was like more give and take..I liked it alot, send me some more videos.

  • interesting technique, cupping the hand for the bass tones, i've seen very few people play like that. Most play with a flat hand as they do in africa

  • good! bravi

  • BIG Best ! salutations de Zanlo ... le vieux !

  • Le vieux??? il en a eu un avant moi? ;-)

  • muy bueno!

  • BIG SMILES

  • this is cool!!

  • wath you think is wrong ;-)

  • alors comme ca le djembe ce joue aussi a sauf erreur le petit train nice!

  • Hey guys WEll Done!

    tat was awesome..

jus wonderin wad are the sizes of your djembe?

  • AIGHT c choko mortel mais tu sai ce ki est mieux c ke j en ai acheter 1 et oé... ++

  • Enfin.... ;-)
