@really2ugly Hey, I can take really hot weather (as long as it's dry). I'm trapped NE Ohio. The weather here is lousy most of the year. Even when the weather's great, there isn't a thing to do up here (except get drunk, go out to eat, and/or watch football). I've been to the wild and wooly West a few times. I found the same thing out with my Viosport camera. Thats why I use my mini DV . Its an old ebay item but it works well. Cant wait to see your Hi -Def videos.
I've had the camera for 1-1/2 months now and have hardly played with it except to take photos. It doesn't have image stabilization at 1080p, but it does at 720p. Also, SD cards that are fast enough to capture 1080p are very expensive. So, I'll stick with 720p. Can't ask for everything in a $180 camera (cheaper than the GoPro.)
11/15/09. I bought a hi def camera. A Vivitar 840XHD. It's not a helmet camera and it's not weatherproof; but for the performance, it was VERY inexpensive. So far, I'm impressed. I have a new suction cup mount on order. It should arrive at the same time I put the bike away for the winter. Nice timing.
Remember the old John Ford westerns? I'd love to ride my sickle straight towards those buttes.
