well all you have to do is download the model, and then place it into C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Cu­stomChars and the .u files go into C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Sc­ript

you need to search google for the models or look in the description for my links, some have a tutorial on how to pute them in teh game and also I have replied to a number of people regarding how to do this, hope that helps

I havent done this for some time but I do believe that you need to have UTCustomChar.ini or something like for some models to work this should a separate folder in publish/CookedPC/Custom­chars, see if that helps, and sometimes the models are incompatible with the newer version of the game so check for that too

no, there isn't a character editor per se, the above are custom character models created by 3D artists/gamers for Unreal Tournament 3, you have to download these models my links are in the video description

they are custom in the sense that these models do not come with Unreal Tournament 3 they are not stock

can someone help i download and put the gears of war characters in but when i view them in custom character they don't show up and when playing they don't have the right voices and the don't move they just stand how they should when i view them and if i can see them they have long fingers which doesn't make sense

well it depends by model, see some authors update them every once so often. I recently reinstalled the game and had no problems with any of the above models so give em a try

yeah i downloaded the master chief family and did what the readme told me to do but they dont show ingame so i guess that the MC character is out of date maybe?

or is it just me being a mega noob xD

well i had some issues with theses characters too. if you look in I think CustomChar.ini some of them need to have a + added in front the all the lines after the the UT whatever in the brackets example:

the platform is PC, the modding 4 ps3 is waaaaay different, as far as I know u download a file put it on a flash drive plug it into ur ps3 and browse for the file within the xmb(your interface, not witihn the game)

I managed to figure it out, thanks anyway though. It turns out I just had to go the settings, choose Player and hit Triangle, then find him under the Iron Guard faction. I also got Zack, Cloud and Old Snake now.

depends on what genre you are more into, I am more of a future/scifi person and I never like any ww2 style games, but supposedly cod5 is amazing so if you want a never game that has new gameplay and maps cod is the way to go.....

i got pc version but i instaled patch 2.0 then i tryed to uninstall the game and got patch 1.3 after that the original character doesnt work instead now what do i do?

well do you know which characters it was? as far as I know there are updated versions for most of the characters, I have 2.0 and the titan pack or whatever its called and all of the above chars work, makes sure you place them into "cookedpc" I think that's the folder name and not into your system folder, the readme's should help I am on a mac right no so I cant tell u the exact folder name, I ll get back to you on that... good luck :)
