  • Why did they use footage for the GS series pinsetter at the beginning of the clip instead of A-2 pinsetter

  • brunswick is talking like they invented the first automatic pinspotter but AMFdid

  • Can you upload one on the vector plus?

  • Update on my town's bowling alley" lanes 1 and 2 are going to bite the dust if action is not taken, it grinded up a guy's new ball (?), got stuck mid-cycle several times (l. 2), and once on my league it refused to reset (l. 1). And lane 2's turn indicator lights were flickering a few times when lane 1 jamned. That was the first sign of trouble with the two lanes.....

  • Should have seen the japanese versions we got back in 1976... the turret wire warning in japanese.

Pin setter technician? we called them pinchasers...

  • The pinsetters at my town's bowling alley are A-10s, but due to improper maintenance the balls are sometimes "eaten" by the machine, and a rare occurance is when the pinsetter drops the pins.

  • When we would tear down our Brunswick machines, it would take a day of cleaning to get them relatively spotless after a seasons worth of bowling.

  • anyone have a torrent for the complete video?

  • completely inaccurate....there is no way the machine could be that clean. keeping the machines that clean would take hours per lane

  • these machines are very old but are still used at my local amf (originaly fairlanes) same style ball returner, lanes and pretty much everything the balls bounce out the gutters at the end funny times when i was a kid

  • rolling meadows?

  • Yep - got hurt a few times at the center I worked. Scary was the ball accelerator/accelerator. When you'd go down during an out of range stop, you'd be climbing right past it.

Looked like the begining of the old Star Trek, except a bowling ball whizzing by your head...

  • Yea... the ball accelerator is nuts... I recall dealing with out of range stops and crawling down beside the ball accelerator...

  • y didnt it show the whole movie

  • For those maybe wondering how the machine knows there is a strike. It measures how far the deck travels. If there are pins standing, the deck will rest on the pins. If there is a strike, it travels its full extent of the yoke.

And yes, these machines can really hurt someone.

  • how can one go about obtaining this training video

  • "and with the reliable Brunkswick automatic pinsetter in action, there's never a hitch frame to frame, automatically, Brunkswick is the world's finest pinsetter" ;) heh!

  • Actully Bowl-Mor candlepin is the worlds finest!

  • Our company has a league that takes place at a Brunswick Zone. They have the worst lanes and pinsetters...EVER!!!

  • THE EMPLOYEES ARE UNHAPPY!!!!!!

  • God how I hated watching this video every year...

Cool to see f you aren't in the bowling industry though :)

  • FANTASTIC clip! Thanks for posting it!
