Little did we know back then that we were watching and listening to what would become legendary musical history. It's amazing when you think about it All those legends on one stage.
@meIande2000 You mean the Queen Of Blue Eyed Soul. I have to give British Female Singers their props. They have always sang Music with a Strong R & B Influence and Dusty as well as other British Artists were always so supportive of Black Artists.
You know that Most of all my music I grew up on was motown I was in either 11th or 12th grade, Tammy The best ever was motown, Your Royal Countess Inherited of Samoa, Your Excellency. T
The Funk Brothers, Martha and the Vandellas / Motown, and Dusty Springfield singing I Can't Hear You No More is ONE of the most perfect arrangements of a song and music that I've ever heard. One can't sit still while hearing that song. Cheers for the dancers as well. Just BEAUTIFUL all around !!!!
Dusty insisted about racial integration for this show. She had just been kicked out of South Africa for refusing to perform in front of segregated audiences. Her best girl Vicki Wickham produced this show.
dusty springfield the queen of uk soul,on ready steady go.every friday loved to watch this fantastic programme ,she loved those motown acts, all sang live and was a great way to start friday nite before going out and dancing to motown and soul.great memories that will never be forgotten.
The Supremes, Temptations and the Vandellas. Wonder if they were in their prime today would people go see this show or Lady Gaga...

At least Earl Van Dyke had his name in lights, which is more than the Funk Brothers as a whole did.
