Sorry dork, the Supreme Court's "job" is NOT TO INTERPRET the constitution--in as much as that means that any "ruling" from the supreme court on the "constitutionality" of something is the "last word." It is up to every American to know the Constitution and to be able to understand original intent, the principles upon which it was written, and take action appropriately. Just because the supreme court rules on something doesn't mean it is morally right or legitimate.
Unfortunately, as much as I love this channel, I feel like you missed why he agreed it would have exceptions like slavery, because he had just said that he thought the constitution should be judged based on how the founding fathers intended, not just "strictly". This would obviously leave out the amendments which countered slavery.
What he means is that interpretted the constitution in a way that he wants it to be interpretted, i.e. a conservative way. When in fact, the whole foundations of the constitution are based upon liberalism i.e. breaking free from the chains of the past (the British government elite) and basing it upon fairness and democracy.

Sorry dork, the Supreme Court's "job" is NOT TO INTERPRET the constitution--in as much as that means that any "ruling" from the supreme court on the "constitutionality" of something is the "last word." It is up to every American to know the Constitution and to be able to understand original intent, the principles upon which it was written, and take action appropriately. Just because the supreme court rules on something doesn't mean it is morally right or legitimate.

Read the Constitution and read history. Judicial Review is what stopped Congress from making the Presidency obsolete. Without it, we'd be like England.

@VoiceOfModeration Actually, they've only Amended (not just "mended") the constitution 27 times since 1787...that's an average of once every 8.2 years, and when you figure the first 10 of those 27 are the Bill of Rights, it's really only an average of once every 13 years, which is less than once a generation. Not to mention, some changes came in clumps, such as the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments abolishing slavery.

Dr.Nathanson, was an abortion activist, and who founded N.A.R.A.L., he fabricated numbers to sway the public decision so the law would pass. He has confessed to doing so, and after performing over 70,000 abortions in his career, and joining the feotology research department, has now turned pro-life. He realizes that they were in fact human beings!
