He's good, but media hype has made him better than what he really is. Look at his record on Sherdog. Diaz vs Lacey! Regardless of thoughts on the outcome, Nick is a real warrier as most of Gracies camp! He does triathalons, boxing, mma and is just a athlete wanting to compete to test himself. He may not always be right or wise, but he does what he feels and I respect how brazen he is. He is also a good, progressive and healthy Vegan.
I hope he does well or wins, but gets GSP first if no rematch for Shields the lifelong vegetarian, check out his promo and factory farm videos.

Nick Diaz should easily be in the top 5 P4P. He has great standup that will pick you appart, great bjj that he rarely even uses, cardio of a bird migrating and the heart of an animal.
Jake Shields and Diaz are actually great rolemodels for morals, health and fitness too as Vegetarians and Vegans. Factory Farms are sick, look up videos you dont want that in you, cooked flesh is vial. Look up veg athletes videos too.

Nick is a great fighter and has reason to be upset or have a chip on his shoulder, the dude works hard in triathlons and all aspects of mma and just wants to be paid some.
I am glad that the raw Vegan diet is working so well, I know Mike Tyson, Jake Shields, Fitch and many more athletes natural body builders, olympians and athletes (tony gonzalez, ricky williams, desmond howard) are veg, look up video and factory farm footage too.

I don't think the question is rather pot is a performance enhancing drug, the fact is it's illegal. He knew it was against the rules. He was even warned about it. Yet he came into a TITLE fight high. Decisions like that 1 are what have plagued Nicks career since the beginning. Sure he's sort of a cult hero in a sense, but we'll never know if he can beat GSP or any of the top welterweights in the UFC, because he screwed up his UFC career by acting as if he was still "in the streets of cali".
