most companies avoid talking about other companies, but ipad 2 has a dual core CPU with 1ghz, while tegra 3 has 4 cores at 1.3ghz plus a "Ninja core" at 0.5 ghz. still, people say the ipad 2`s GPU beats the GPU in the tegra. in terms of speed. im quite sure Nvidia Tegra 3 beats the Apple A5

Okay Nvidia it looks nice. BUT! Release the glowball demo, be course last time you got some developers to say "Hey, there is nothing else in this world that can run THD games then tegra powered tablets and phones" It turned out that the old HTC Desire HD, Yes the old 1ghz single core desire hd could run the tegra games. So if you release the glow-ball demo and I cant run it on my current phone I will by your new hardware. But not before that!

actualy i dont think 4 cores will be needed for this ... i even guess my sgs2 will be able to run it (and it will run it - overcloaked to max - with ice cream sandwhich and chainfire (maybe have to lower textures))

but well i guess only with around 25-30fps - like infinityblade 2 on ipad2

iam only going to upgrade at cortex a15 tegra4 - this will bring exteme console gaming to smartphones!

actualy i hope there will be specialy optimised games to get better graphics than xbox360/ps3 :D

This is the kind of thing that will put apple devices where they belong, the asus transformer prime will overwhelm the ipad 2 with better features, and android 4.0, and it looks stunning and has an amazing form factor. Cant wait to see apple's competition. Thumbs up if you agree :)

NVIDIA is still leading the pack. I still have my Zune HD with the original Tegra and 4-core GeForce ULV graphics. Sad to see Microsoft discontinued the device but it was so advanced for its time and still is. One of the few PMP's or any device for that matter that could push HD video onto the TV screen without stuttering. I might have to miss the Tegra 3 wave this year and wait till Tegra 4 next year lol

very interesting, having worked closely with evga ive come to been keen towards pc nvidia hardware development, overclocking gpu's and such with pete (shimano) and Shannon (punx). seeing tegra 3's demo's so far id equate its performance level to just under the 8800 series gpu performance (still very good for mobile), my biggest wonder is if the asus tablets or other manufacturers will only run a combination of android and tegra 3 or will there be windows based tegra 3 devices as well?

The game engine seems to use Unity, and they likely seem to backport the game from PC to mobile device which is impressive! Great hardware at hand seems so, great job NVidia!

Bladeslinger looks the best out the three, the other two look like crap. Infinity Blade on a single-core A4 processor looks better than Shadowgun and Riptide graphically.

Next gen consoles are in serious trouble. Tegra3 is just the start of having a portable console/pc/notebook. Tegra4 is going to surpass current console quality, and Tegra5 is going to start to encroach on high end PC games. :0 I'm excited for the future!

Lol, so you actually Nvidia is going to beat itself, by having more powerful hardware in tiny cellphones, than in huge-ass gaming computers. You do know that Nvidia and ATi are the two leading companies in PC hardware development, so that is never going to happen.

The best computer hardware already now is way beyond any console out now, by like a whole generation, but the market is too small on PC, to build games for hundreds of millions, that only PCs could handle.

Better yet, Microsoft should steal this. Take a cellphone running Tegra 3 for gaming, have a drop down controller like the PSPgo/Xperia play, but have it play Xbox Live titles, have it run the latest Windows phone 7.5 mango platform, access to Zune Marketplace, 16-32gb memory, throw in some cloud storage, and you have instantly created the greatest mobile device known to man.

This is great, but as long as cell phone games are on FREAKING CELL PHONES, you will not be able to pull off real gaming! I freaking hate using a touch screen to gaming. True gaming NEEDS a controller. Sony had the PERFECT idea with the Xperia play, but screwed it up in execution. They should have went all out, PSPhone! Take Xperia play/PSPgo, add Tegra 3, Latest Android platform, PSN network for downloads, thrown in some cloud storage, you have the UBER device.
