The BEST! Big Ben would not make a pimple on TB's butt. If Terry played in this pass crazy nfl he would throw for 6,000 yards. Man, he had a cannon for arm.
@32rickyromo You can't really put it that way.. The game has changed alot, athletes has become faster and more powerful.. Really just a different today, we would never know how Bradshaw would have played today, with modern training and modern rules.. But if Bradshaw was born in 1980, then.. @RarelyEvenn, so he still has 4 Super Bowl rings. Yes he had a great defense and great receivers you still have to throw the ball. That's why he's in the Hall of Fame not because of the stats because of the rings.

Not only that QBs in Terry's era was also beat up and weren't protected see the Turkey Jones sack.
@lorenzodemedici1 He threw picks in one freaking game in the superbowl and still won. He barely completed % and not to mention he only threw 2 more TDs than picks in his whole career. That is a horrid ratio. That team he played for in the 70s definatley caried him
@TheBukes92, you still have throw the ball to your receivers and when it came to the big game he came up big. It doesn't matter if he those stats, all that matters is that he has the rings to back it up. The Steel Curtain helped him out, but when it came to the playoffs he was big.
@redmustang03 career postseason stats: TD/INT: 30-26, Completion Percentage: 57.2% Before 1979, His % was far from 60%. Im pretty sure his Defense led them to 4 SB victories. Granted he did have to make the throws, but comeon, hes no where near the top 5 qbs in history. Dan Marino, Elway, Montana, please, its an insult to put him in the same sentence as them.

@TheBukes92 But his TD-INT ratio is 9-4 in Super bowls. (7-1 if you don't count the last one), he also had a 4th quarter score in all 4 super bowls he played in.. Bradshaw is one the best big game QB's of all time.

@xXZOMBIE666Xx Bradshaw was playing 30 years ago, so people who saw him play when they were kids aren't that old. The parents of the people who saw Bradshaw play when they were kids ARE old, however. LOL
@ahjrome He's not overrated. He was one of the greatest QB's in the 70's. He was no average quarterback for his time for a bunch of simple reasons such as rules. IMO the most OVERRRATED QB EVER.... Career 51.7 completion %, 212 td 210 int 70.9 QB rating. You play like that in todays NFL and you don't even get the chance to win 4 superbowls. All that talent around him is why he won 4 superbowls and is in the HOF. Dude was a average QB on a great team.....IMO
@ahjrome Most players pre 1976 threw more interceptions than touchdowns and stats were similar, he was on of the top passers in the 70's too, if he is overrated for this, then so are other HOF quarterbacks. Not to mention his running ability and 32 rushing touchdowns. He called every single offensive play and his playoff performances were great. He had a great defense, but he still played an essential part in many wins. He owns post season records,
Quarterbacks these days slide when the feel the heat of being tackled. Terry Bradshaw ducks his head and pushes forward like a running back. What a beast
@prayforme111 Bradshaw won as many superbowls as Montana which was four. Bradshaw competed against Roger Staubach in two of those superbowls so the competition was tougher IMO.
@peytonmanningfan7 How many superbowls did Marino win? Let me help you... zero. How many superbowls did Elway lose before he won two in a row? Bradshaw played against two great big game quarterbacks in Stabler and Staubach.
@lancer89032 Okay well it doesn't take the fact away that elway and marino are hall of fame QB's and arguably two of the best, plus if you wanna put it that way how many superbowls did tarkenton win? I'm not taking anything away from bradshaw I'm just saying that it's not like montana was playing scrubs
Bradshaw had more toughness in his left testicle that Big Ben does in his entire body. The guy was a bruiser and country boy playing for a city that didnt want him.... that is until he won 4 superbowls for them. He lives in Dallas ....and doesnt ever go back to Pittsburgh until this past year the greats were brought out on the field. Number 12 was the man ...unlike Brady or Big Ben ...He called his own plays.... He was one of the BEST.
He was a good fit for a great team, that make him part of greatness. He took a lot of chances ( which is why statistically he has so many interceptions) but the number 4 ( super bowls ) outshines the risks. During the time of the steelers dominance, the Huston Oilers HAD an incredible team as well, ( very we rounded ) but the Steelers peaked at the same time, and Huston just coul'nt get over us. I like tom think Bradshaw was that hump.
@Bigbadben7 True it does take a team to win a SB but it also helps when your QB(Montana) throws 11TDs and rushs for 2 TDs oh and throws 0 INTS in all of his SB games. Bradshaw threw 2 TDs and 3INTs in his last SB, and still got MVP how the F**k does that happen? How did he win? His defense was amazing thats how.
What a fantastic video. I've been watching this over and over for a year. Incredible images and a testament to the greatness of Terry. Thank you so much.
@107ruthless Bradshaw started as a rookie Dumb Ass and was taking over the worst team in NFL History with no talent. Montana did not start until his 3rd season and and 2 years to watch and learn the system and speed of the NFL as well as no pressure as he was a 3rd rd pick, Terry was not only a first rd but the overall # 1 pick.
Montana was ran by Walsh and the West Coast O, Bradshaw was a real field general who called his own plays.
@107ruthless As well. Terry Numbers are hall of fame when you consider the rules changes of 78, which meant he threw vs the old Bump and run rules that weren't limited to 5 yds but went all the way down field for the first half of his career. As well as O Lineman not being allowed to extend their arms to block or to open their hands and D linemen could still head slap the O linemen. All of this took away the precious time Montana type QBs had in the pocket.
One of the greats, doesnt get the regonition he deserves which is a shame. people are to obsessed with stats, which only tell half the story of any quarterback. twinning is most important thing. what separates the men from the boys is doing it in the post season and getting to and winning the big one! Bradshaw done both and thats what makes him top 3 of all time any day of the week
@darrenn438 I dont know if he is top 3 of all time.. He is certainly great no doubt about it, but the top 3 is really something.. But i agree with pretty much everyhing else you said.. Terry is a very underrated Quarterback, he played his best in the post season, which is very over looked, including some insane clutch plays in the super bowl (which is also highlighted in this video).
@prayforme111 underrated? if anything he's overrated. way overrated. he was good but he gets way to much credit, although i dont like to rip on him too much because i love him as a commentator.
@rockfan7777 You're an Idiot! He not only had a rocket of an arm but it was deadly accurate! I you really think the Steleers of the 70s would have won more than 1 Super Bowl than you're crazy. Terry was the essential force behind 3 of the 4 Super Bowl seasons. Terry said it best. "You an lose with me but you'll never win without me!"
@Bigbadben7 Oh im uneducated am I? I'll prove you wrong asshole. in 1974 he threw 7 tds and 8 ints and had a 48% completion percentage, pretty bad. They called him the worst quarterback in the playoffs he just had franco pave the way for him. 1979 26 tds but 25 ints. Look at the defense they prolly could have made it to the SBs w/o bradshaw. Also for games for when he wasn't the starter his backups were 11-1-1. And he has a rocket arm big deal that doesn't make a great quarterback
@rockfan7777 By comparison Montana was also benched in 1988 before turning it around n route to the SB title. For 3 straight seasons in the playoffs 85,86 and 87 Joe was 1 and done in the playoffs and sucked in all 3 games.
Terry had to over come his psychological issues, he naturally lacked confidence as a person, that's just how he was born.
Terry rocket arm did make him great because it was a deadly accurate rocket arm.
His 25 ints in 79 mean shit because he attacked the secondary not LBs.
@rockfan7777 Bradshaw ran a low % passing game which meant when you throw 15 to 20 yds down field on most attempts the odds are you will naturally have more mishaps than those who throw 5 to 10 yds all the time.
Stats mean shit, 4 rings is all that matters and Pittsburgh wouldn't have those first 4 without him calling the plays and making the throws. He threw a TD pass in the 4th quarter of every SB he played in and for 3,833 yd in the post season.
@Bigbadben7 Well its easy to win 4 SBs when your team can do all the work for him. Okay so he threw a Td every 4th quarter in the superbowl, all he had to do was throw it up there and stallworth or swann would make a great catch for him
@rockfan7777 Why then did Terry win MVP of 78 season and SBs XIII and XIV? Plus he threw a TD in the 4th of EVERY SB and the TD pass in X to Swann/XIV to Stallworth were not named great catches by NFL Films but great Passes by Bradshaw. Swann/Stallworth didn't even start IX, and Stallworth didn't start iX. Stallworth missed the 2nd half of XIII and Swann the 2nd half of XIV. He called his own Fuckin Plays Moron! Do you even understand the significance of that?
@Bigbadben7 okay he still had one of the best teams of all time. And i realized he called his own plays but that still doesnt change the fact that he was a bonehead who threw lots a picks. he had an average completion percentage and hes the only QB to throw 3 INTs in a superbowl and still win! that game all he had to do was throw a long one to Stallworth and it was an 80 yd TD. And in SB IX all he did was hand it to franco and let the D do his work. Way overrated dude
@rockfan7777 Are Rivers and Eli Manning better than Stubach and Stabler?
According to comp. % they are. Terry's comp % is based a low % attack that attacks safties not linebackers. The 1st half of his career was under old rules that limited the sucess of a comp. % Who would you rather have in a pinch, Stable/Staubach/Bradshaw or Rivers/Palmer/E. Manning?
By numbers the latter are better.
Plus Terry not only threw 3 ints and won the SB he was named MVP because his bombs were deadly accurate.
@Bigbadben7 okay true with the numbers but staubach and stabler had good percentages also though, and bradsahaw didnt. And you say that he was good with the bombs because all he had to do was to throw them up and his guys made a great catch. The same case goes for roethlisberger not in the sense with the bombs but the fact is its not him thats great its the team.
@rockfan7777 Bradshaw's % was affected by his first 2 seasons with no talent. Throwing a bomb or a deep in route accuratley is as much as a talent as throwing a slant or crossing patttern accurately.
Ben keeps the team alive due to his escape ability.
To you only great Steelers QBs are great because of the team but others are because of themselves? Like Montana didn't have Rice, the best ever for 2 rings and a top 5 D every year he won a SB. What winner doesn't have a good team?
@rockfan7777 "all he had to do was throw a long one to Stallworth..."? You need to watch an analysis of that play to fully understand why that was a great pass!
@Bigbadben7 Also just for comparison purposes since you want to bring up Terry handing it off to Franco in his first SB, Montana in his 3rd SB passed 215 of his 357 to Jerry Rice, the greatest WR ever, Which mean outside of Rice he threw for only 142 yds and this is the same season where Montana was benched at mid season a 10 year veteran.
@rockfan7777 Also you uneducated Fuck! Bradshaw called his own plays in the huddle. He was a real field general not like the robots of today who rely on offensive coordinators for their every attempt. Joe Montana was the biggest robot in history. Basically a Bill Walsh Bitch!
@Bigbadben7 1976 he was 4-4 as a starter then he was injured, then what happened? the defense beat the shit out of everybody they played and paved the way to the AFC championship. He only had 2 3,000 yard seasons, why? because he had two fucking runningbacks that paved the way for him. I'm not the uneducated one.
@rockfan7777 Rocky Belier had ONE 1,000 yd season and it was in 1976. So he only had one great RB. In 78 and 79 the Steelers offense was 60% pass and 40 % run and Terry was All Pro and Prow Bowl in 78 as well as NFL MVP and Prow Bowl and All AFC in 1979.
He was the MVP of the SB twice, Franco was MVP once, and Swann the other time and the TD Swann caught for 64 yds in the 4th quarter of SB X when he won MVP was named the greatest TD PASS ever by NFL Films.
After watching him do commentary all these years I decided to see what this old man was about... He was a hell of a fighter and deserves tons of respect.
Haven't seen any of these clips in years. Reminds me of just how really good he was as a QB. Very dynamic player. And to those who thumb it down...you are a bucnh of sadsacks. Steelers might not be your team but you can't take away his awesomeness. You have to respect that ability he had.
terry bradshaw was brett farve before brett farve was brett farve...and 4 super bowl rings to prove it. no one is his superior only montana is his equal.
@Synicaalescape u fuck off u bolt fan what has ur team done? nothing in fact they may go to LA. raiders raped u guys and what did we do? rape the raiders
@Synicaalescape too bad u dont have balls. maybe homo could go win 4 superbowls.
i dont get how cardinal fans haven killed themselves. theyve been in one superbowl got raped by the west. went 5-11 and have the ugliest logo. ur team isnt a proud franchise in fact they havent even won a champion ship much less a superbowl and they SUCK. romo is a puss he got raped by the giants. CARDINALS SUCK. we have been to 8 superbowls. CARDINALS SUCK FAT MEXICAN DICK
@machiiniiima Hey PUSS-BAG, I know you won't calm your tits because I exploited the piece of trash Fluke-Shaw was. And im a cardinals fan for LIFE MOTHER-FUCKER. I don't give a fuck if they suck and haven't won a championship. It's a little something called loyalty. which is shittburgh fans will never know since they jump ships every-year the steelers dont make it. So yeah you can talk all DAY LONG, about how the cardinals suck because you know what? I dont give a damn.
@Synicaalescape pussbag. u too young to call me pussy? ive been a steeler fan since 1970. idc if they go 0-16 im a steeler fan. i dont have tits i have a penis.
@Synicaalescape apparently u do. ur jealous of terry. whule the steelers won the cards suck dick and werent even in arizona. ur just jealous of us. go fuck urself young man. please
@Synicaalescape ur very immature mike tyson is a boxer. did ur inbreed self not know this? probably so. im done arguing with u. ur 18 and im 30 with a wife. act more mature.
@machiiniiima Fuck-face I know mike tyson is a boxer stupid. And dont tell me to grow up if your the one who is getting personel in the first place. Like I said I dont give a fuck if you claim to have a wife and kids. When did your personal life and me acting more mature have to do with anything about bradshaw? Your just another you tube faggot who has to bring everybody's personal life into the topic. Nice try faggot.
@Synicaalescape Listen.. You can say all you want about QB's who were better than Bradshaw.. Bradshaw was a clutch QB, he was a tough guy, and he's style of play really fit the Pittsburgh Steelers, and 318 Yards and 4 TD's against DALLAS DOOMSDAY DEFENSE! And he also played in a time were it was much tougher to play QB (playing Football was just tougher in general).
TB played before they put skirts on qb's and he had more guts than all these crybabies playing today put together. NO ONE any better! Used to love it when the Steel Curtain pounded on the Oilers and Dan Pastorini.
Reasons I love this guy:1. he could throw the deep ball with as much skill and grace as anyone ever. 2. this guy could break tackles like walter peyton. 3. he just loved to play the game for what it was. Later in his life he has said that he wished it was less about business because after all, it was just a game. 4. I was born after this man retired but this highlight video still gives me goosebumps.
Bradshaw and Kerry Collins have a very similar looking throwing motion and both of them throw great long balls. Obviously, Bradshaw got better results : )
@floflwaffle True but his 212 TD to 210 ints is misleasing.
It's important to note that 46 of his pics came his first two seasons as a rookie and second year guy thrown to the wolves with no offensive talent around him.
Take away his rookie year and his TD to int stats is at 206 TDs and 187 ints, a 19 int to TD difference instead of just a 2 int to TD difference. Take away his first two seasons and it's 193 TDs to 165 ints, A 28 int to TD difference.
@Bigbadben7 its more misleading because back then quarterbacks threw more interceptions in general because they kind of just threw it up there a lot. Many quarterbacks had more interceptions than touchdowns and were still viewed as pro bowlers and mvps.
3:43 vs Rams named one of the best ever TD passes by NFL films and the one that immediately follows vs Dallas named best ever TD pass by NFL Films. Not just Super Bowl TD passes but period. Watch how deep both go and how in stride they are thrown and both are 4th quarter of the Super Bowl.
1978 NFL MVP, SB XIII and XIV MVP, 1975, 77, 78, 79 Prow Bowl, Only QB to win 4 SBs in 6 years and back to back SBs twice.
Only QB to win titles in both ears of rules that favored the D and Rules that favored the O. 1 of 2 QBs to win consecutive SB MVPs, only QB to pass for over 300 yds in consecutive SB games, 2, 257 reg. season yds rushing for 32 rushing tds. 30 TDs and 3,833 yds post season, threw a TD pass in the 4th quarter of all 4 SBs. 107-51 Reg season, 14-5 post season, 121-56 all time.
@lancer89032 I agree 100 %. Everyone assumes Montana but they fail to realize that Terry called his own plays where as Joe was Bill Walsh's robot. No doubt Joe is 2nd along with Bart Starr but neither of them made the big throws in in the big games like Terry.
He is the reason I'm a Steelers fan for 32 years now. I love all the other guys but that is my childhood hero so glad I got to meet him. The Greatest of all time.
Wow, I had forgotten just how great Bradshaw was and you look at his throws and it was just a flick of his wrist, he didnt even have good mechanics for throwing but damn could he put it on the spot.
If I had to choose one QB to play for my all time team for 4 quarters, depending on the system I may pick Joe Montana or Johnny Unitaus but if I had to bring in one QB for one key play of that game it would either be Bradshaw or Elway.
True Steeler

Arguably the best super bowl quarterback of all time. The 'blonde bomber' came up so big in the big games and those who were there know it.
lancer89032 4 months ago
@lancer89032 Montana must have been the best..
You can argue: Aikman, Bradshaw and Brady for number 2..
prayforme111 3 months ago
@prayforme111 Bradshaw won as many superbowls as Montana which was four. Bradshaw competed against Roger Staubach in two of those superbowls so the competition was tougher IMO.
lancer89032 3 months ago
@lancer89032 Yeah but montana played against marino and elway
peytonmanningfan7 1 month ago
@peytonmanningfan7 How many superbowls did Marino win? Let me help you... zero. How many superbowls did Elway lose before he won two in a row? Bradshaw played against two great big game quarterbacks in Stabler and Staubach.
lancer89032 1 month ago
@lancer89032 Okay well it doesn't take the fact away that elway and marino are hall of fame QB's and arguably two of the best, plus if you wanna put it that way how many superbowls did tarkenton win? I'm not taking anything away from bradshaw I'm just saying that it's not like montana was playing scrubs
peytonmanningfan7 3 weeks ago
@lancer89032 And every QB that montana played against was a pro bowler
peytonmanningfan7 3 weeks ago
Bradshaw had more toughness in his left testicle that Big Ben does in his entire body. The guy was a bruiser and country boy playing for a city that didnt want him.... that is until he won 4 superbowls for them. He lives in Dallas ....and doesnt ever go back to Pittsburgh until this past year the greats were brought out on the field. Number 12 was the man ...unlike Brady or Big Ben ...He called his own plays.... He was one of the BEST.
montjamz 4 months ago
Great post, outstanding tribute to one of the best.
MrSteelerfan58 4 months ago
He was a good fit for a great team, that make him part of greatness. He took a lot of chances ( which is why statistically he has so many interceptions) but the number 4 ( super bowls ) outshines the risks. During the time of the steelers dominance, the Huston Oilers HAD an incredible team as well, ( very we rounded ) but the Steelers peaked at the same time, and Huston just coul'nt get over us. I like tom think Bradshaw was that hump.

@machiiniiima I don't get what your point is. Please elaborate.
jccollins4 5 months ago
@Bigbadben7 True it does take a team to win a SB but it also helps when your QB(Montana) throws 11TDs and rushs for 2 TDs oh and throws 0 INTS in all of his SB games. Bradshaw threw 2 TDs and 3INTs in his last SB, and still got MVP how the F**k does that happen? How did he win? His defense was amazing thats how.
jccollins4 6 months ago
@jccollins4 he could have thrown 0 touchdowns and 5 interceptions if he wanted to but he didnt.

JOE MONTANA WAS WAY BETTER IN TERRYS FIRST YEAR HE HAD 6 TDS WITH 24 INTS AND HIS CARRER TOTAL TD 212 INT 210 NOT HALL OF FAME NUMBERS AT ALL
107ruthless 7 months ago
@107ruthless agreed
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@107ruthless Bradshaw started as a rookie Dumb Ass and was taking over the worst team in NFL History with no talent. Montana did not start until his 3rd season and and 2 years to watch and learn the system and speed of the NFL as well as no pressure as he was a 3rd rd pick, Terry was not only a first rd but the overall # 1 pick.
Montana was ran by Walsh and the West Coast O, Bradshaw was a real field general who called his own plays.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@107ruthless As well. Terry Numbers are hall of fame when you consider the rules changes of 78, which meant he threw vs the old Bump and run rules that weren't limited to 5 yds but went all the way down field for the first half of his career. As well as O Lineman not being allowed to extend their arms to block or to open their hands and D linemen could still head slap the O linemen. All of this took away the precious time Montana type QBs had in the pocket.

Terrific video. Really well done. Bradshaw is something of a goof, which sadly makes many forget what a remarkable athlete he was.
jyohe4280 8 months ago
One of the greats, doesnt get the regonition he deserves which is a shame. people are to obsessed with stats, which only tell half the story of any quarterback. twinning is most important thing. what separates the men from the boys is doing it in the post season and getting to and winning the big one! Bradshaw done both and thats what makes him top 3 of all time any day of the week
darrenn438 8 months ago
@darrenn438 I dont know if he is top 3 of all time.. He is certainly great no doubt about it, but the top 3 is really something.. But i agree with pretty much everyhing else you said.. Terry is a very underrated Quarterback, he played his best in the post season, which is very over looked, including some insane clutch plays in the super bowl (which is also highlighted in this video).
prayforme111 8 months ago
@prayforme111 underrated? if anything he's overrated. way overrated. he was good but he gets way to much credit, although i dont like to rip on him too much because i love him as a commentator.
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 You're an Idiot! He not only had a rocket of an arm but it was deadly accurate! I you really think the Steleers of the 70s would have won more than 1 Super Bowl than you're crazy. Terry was the essential force behind 3 of the 4 Super Bowl seasons. Terry said it best. "You an lose with me but you'll never win without me!"
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 Oh im uneducated am I? I'll prove you wrong asshole. in 1974 he threw 7 tds and 8 ints and had a 48% completion percentage, pretty bad. They called him the worst quarterback in the playoffs he just had franco pave the way for him. 1979 26 tds but 25 ints. Look at the defense they prolly could have made it to the SBs w/o bradshaw. Also for games for when he wasn't the starter his backups were 11-1-1. And he has a rocket arm big deal that doesn't make a great quarterback
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 By comparison Montana was also benched in 1988 before turning it around n route to the SB title. For 3 straight seasons in the playoffs 85,86 and 87 Joe was 1 and done in the playoffs and sucked in all 3 games.
Terry had to over come his psychological issues, he naturally lacked confidence as a person, that's just how he was born.
Terry rocket arm did make him great because it was a deadly accurate rocket arm.
His 25 ints in 79 mean shit because he attacked the secondary not LBs.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Bradshaw ran a low % passing game which meant when you throw 15 to 20 yds down field on most attempts the odds are you will naturally have more mishaps than those who throw 5 to 10 yds all the time.
Stats mean shit, 4 rings is all that matters and Pittsburgh wouldn't have those first 4 without him calling the plays and making the throws. He threw a TD pass in the 4th quarter of every SB he played in and for 3,833 yd in the post season.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 Well its easy to win 4 SBs when your team can do all the work for him. Okay so he threw a Td every 4th quarter in the superbowl, all he had to do was throw it up there and stallworth or swann would make a great catch for him
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Why then did Terry win MVP of 78 season and SBs XIII and XIV? Plus he threw a TD in the 4th of EVERY SB and the TD pass in X to Swann/XIV to Stallworth were not named great catches by NFL Films but great Passes by Bradshaw. Swann/Stallworth didn't even start IX, and Stallworth didn't start iX. Stallworth missed the 2nd half of XIII and Swann the 2nd half of XIV. He called his own Fuckin Plays Moron! Do you even understand the significance of that?
Terry also had to get them there.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 okay he still had one of the best teams of all time. And i realized he called his own plays but that still doesnt change the fact that he was a bonehead who threw lots a picks. he had an average completion percentage and hes the only QB to throw 3 INTs in a superbowl and still win! that game all he had to do was throw a long one to Stallworth and it was an 80 yd TD. And in SB IX all he did was hand it to franco and let the D do his work. Way overrated dude
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Are Rivers and Eli Manning better than Stubach and Stabler?
According to comp. % they are. Terry's comp % is based a low % attack that attacks safties not linebackers. The 1st half of his career was under old rules that limited the sucess of a comp. % Who would you rather have in a pinch, Stable/Staubach/Bradshaw or Rivers/Palmer/E. Manning?
By numbers the latter are better.
Plus Terry not only threw 3 ints and won the SB he was named MVP because his bombs were deadly accurate.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 okay true with the numbers but staubach and stabler had good percentages also though, and bradsahaw didnt. And you say that he was good with the bombs because all he had to do was to throw them up and his guys made a great catch. The same case goes for roethlisberger not in the sense with the bombs but the fact is its not him thats great its the team.
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Bradshaw's % was affected by his first 2 seasons with no talent. Throwing a bomb or a deep in route accuratley is as much as a talent as throwing a slant or crossing patttern accurately.
Ben keeps the team alive due to his escape ability.
To you only great Steelers QBs are great because of the team but others are because of themselves? Like Montana didn't have Rice, the best ever for 2 rings and a top 5 D every year he won a SB. What winner doesn't have a good team?
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 Exactly
Brady has also had a top 10 defense 10 times in his career lol..+ the top scoring defense twice..
prayforme111 6 months ago
@rockfan7777 "all he had to do was throw a long one to Stallworth..."? You need to watch an analysis of that play to fully understand why that was a great pass!
coyote728 4 months ago
@Bigbadben7 Also just for comparison purposes since you want to bring up Terry handing it off to Franco in his first SB, Montana in his 3rd SB passed 215 of his 357 to Jerry Rice, the greatest WR ever, Which mean outside of Rice he threw for only 142 yds and this is the same season where Montana was benched at mid season a 10 year veteran.
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Also you uneducated Fuck! Bradshaw called his own plays in the huddle. He was a real field general not like the robots of today who rely on offensive coordinators for their every attempt. Joe Montana was the biggest robot in history. Basically a Bill Walsh Bitch!
Bigbadben7 7 months ago
@Bigbadben7 1976 he was 4-4 as a starter then he was injured, then what happened? the defense beat the shit out of everybody they played and paved the way to the AFC championship. He only had 2 3,000 yard seasons, why? because he had two fucking runningbacks that paved the way for him. I'm not the uneducated one.
rockfan7777 7 months ago
@rockfan7777 Rocky Belier had ONE 1,000 yd season and it was in 1976. So he only had one great RB. In 78 and 79 the Steelers offense was 60% pass and 40 % run and Terry was All Pro and Prow Bowl in 78 as well as NFL MVP and Prow Bowl and All AFC in 1979.
He was the MVP of the SB twice, Franco was MVP once, and Swann the other time and the TD Swann caught for 64 yds in the 4th quarter of SB X when he won MVP was named the greatest TD PASS ever by NFL Films.

heck of a player but his td to int rate is almost 1-1 lol
floflwaffle 1 year ago
@floflwaffle True but his 212 TD to 210 ints is misleasing.
It's important to note that 46 of his pics came his first two seasons as a rookie and second year guy thrown to the wolves with no offensive talent around him.
Take away his rookie year and his TD to int stats is at 206 TDs and 187 ints, a 19 int to TD difference instead of just a 2 int to TD difference. Take away his first two seasons and it's 193 TDs to 165 ints, A 28 int to TD difference.
Bigbadben7 1 year ago
I meant a 29 int to TD difference. 46 INTS his first 2 years to his only 19 TDs as a young QB with no talent has to be considered.
Bigbadben7 1 year ago
@Bigbadben7 its more misleading because back then quarterbacks threw more interceptions in general because they kind of just threw it up there a lot. Many quarterbacks had more interceptions than touchdowns and were still viewed as pro bowlers and mvps.
