i knew itr wasnt a hemi cuz they didnt have one in 02 but ive heard from a lot of people that the 4.7 is better than a hemi and that its more torquey

Then there was some underlying circumstance(s). A similarly equipped hemi would spank the 4.7 liter.

That doesn't matter. The rear end gear ratios, transmissions, tires, and ANY significant differences in weight (1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton, 2wd or 4wd, bed/cab configuration) all matter. And if those were all in check then it's something else. I don't think the hemi is a wonder engine, but it WILL beat a 4.7 liter.

you heard wrong, 4.7 has less HP and Torque but gets within 1 mpg gas mileage wise, its not a bad motor, its just you cant really do as much with it and for the same gas mileage, who would choose to have 100+ less HP....unless the Hemi option was really expensive at your dealer, for me it was a no brainer, $800 extra to get the Hemi, no reason not to ;)

by far get the hemi ive driven them all and the hemi has a bad ass sound, like no other v8, more power, more potential, and windes up so fast yu'd swear it was a v12
