Not sure what you mean by advertisement phone, but it is full featured, full phone. I got it from AT&T during Pantech Duo Media Event Release Conference. It is exactly the same phone that you buy from AT&T.

Just return it to AT&T. Probably bad memory chip in it. Never heard of that problem on WM phones, though. Good Luck.

I'm trying to be a strong believer in this phone. I hear so many mixed reviews, it's hard to decide. It's either this, BJ II, or Tilt. It's tough. I already went through hell with my 8125 so I'm iffy about the Tilt.

Couple people at work have this phone, what a lame knock off of the Helio Ocean. Made of cheap flimsy plastic. Gal I work with knocked hers off her desk with her elbow, and it chipped hitting the floor. Now her backlight doesn't work right all the time. I wouldn't use this phone even if was free. : /

well.... you can record a ringtone and set it but it doesnt make great sound if recorded. all phones dont sound well recorded though. this phone is awesome.

internet, yes you do pay for it, it is rather cheap but be carefull. music, you do have to BUY so it costs 2:50 i think. aim costs a text if you get a text plan you can use aim

It should take about 1 minute to turn on. It is a computer, and it needs to read all the files, etc.. so yes, it will take long time to turn on. Go check Blackberry, it takes 5 minutes to turn on!!

It is not brown, it has a certain texture around the screen, that makes it look like brown (but actually it is because of the lighting). It is a nice touch. Otherwise, it is black.

Honestly, I have no idea. However you can call AT&T and tell them you would like to buy this phone at retail price, and ask them to unlock it for you. Regular non-contract price is $449, which is way too high for this phone.

Yes, it is easy to text, but it could have been much easier. Anything that's QWERTY is going to be easy to use after a few days of getting used to.

Yes you can make the backlit last much longer, there is a setting for that in WM6.

Keep samsung blackjack, or upgrade to BlackJack 2 (check its reviews first). This one may not be able to compete with thinness and speed of Blackjack. If you can get this phone for less than it's current price, then go for it, but $200 is just too expensive for this phone. Good Luck

Oh, tilt is also a great phone, more expensive, but that has GPS and this doesn't. I really like Tilt as well.
