    Here is an obscure question...

    Could this rendition be heard on the radio in 1934? Would someone be able to here a program of this...on the radio?

    Or was this not common?

  • As this was a song within a popular film, it is unlikely that the film company would allow the song to appear on radio for at least several years. They would want people to go to the cinema to see it and hear the songs (which anyway were accompanied by dancing).Bums on seats were the main target of the film makers.
