Also, the Canadian airforce is still very highly respected in this area. Selanne on the other hand was a player for the Jets before they left in 1996, and he was one of the best on the team known to date. So he's very much respected and loved still by Winnipeg.

@905justin1 your a fucking retard all the points you bring up are irrelevant Hamilton didn't get a team because a) the city doesn't have the 20 million to buy an expansion team b) i have never herd of an investor in Hamilton trying to but a team and c) they don't have an arena that could support an NHL team and yea it may be the smallest rink in the league but Winnipeg will still pull in more fans at a higher ticket price than a hand full of American teams, so be happy canada has another team
