Nars is one of my favorite brands and Habanera is one of the nicest color combinations they have because the colors go so nicely with shadows that you may have outside of the palette. Good Job, you look very nice!

I work for NARS as an artist and must say that you have done a lovely job. For another experiment, try lining your upper lid with Thunderball (a dark teal) using a wet brush, (All NARS shadows are wet to dry), then layer the 2 colors of Habanera on top of one another over the entire lid, but not on the brow bone. Then line the bottom lash line with a brown color like Sophia or Bengali. Brown mascara also works well with this shadow.

Wow! I'm 36 and found this new love for makeup...can you believe it? However hadn't been able to properly put it on the way I would like to. And ran across your how to videos. You do such a good job...you go GIRL! Now if I could just fine the right tones to try this out with that matches my skin complexing. Do you think these would work for all woman of color?

Hi. Thanks for watching and commenting. I suggest testing out the colors if you can. Although you can't test HiP colors, you could try MAC Satin Taupe, which looks just like the HiP shadow I used in this vid. Hope that helps.

Au contraire! I think this look works as is. The soft plum lip liner and light application of Media lipstick balance and harmonize the darker shade of the Habanero eyeshadow duo. Plus, the light lips/bold eyes or light eyes/bold lips combination is a current trend and not, I believe, the "rule" for cosmetic application. The fun part of wearing makeup is often making a statement that does not follow convention.
