Love this vid and the answers on the questions above me! Just started today (without seeing this clip) and now I see this and all of the mistakes, I did :p tomorrow is a new day, and a new challenge to do it right!
I paused and read the warning at the beginning. "These stunts are performed by professionals or people with an extremely high and well above average luck quotient." I love slackliners.
weve bought a gibbon travel line and the tension on the line seems to be disapating even after everything is right up close to the tree or anchors? is there any specific things that you shouldnt do with this line ?
Could u learn on a jib line or surf line or would it be easier to start on a classic. And if you did start on a jib line or surf line would it be harder to learn how to slackline
@27Hopkinslax Yes you could learn on any type of line. Generally we encourage the Classic of Fun have less stretch. Less stretch=less movement=less to control=easier.
@billyschurman You can totally learn all the tricks on a classic line but eventually it will get to the point where you'll want to get more height and go bigger with your tricks. It is at that point you'll want to upgrade to the Jib or Surfline
@nicscrubs Hey man, if tricks is something you want to get into then the Jibline is definitley the way to go! Eventually you will want to move on to the Surfer for that bigger ratchet for MOWR POWER!
@deliciouspunctuation Five Fingers are great for slacklining in! The only issue I, Frankie, have ever had was when I would pivot/turn sometimes the toes would catch. Other than that small issue they are great for slacklining in! I would get a pair not for slacklining but also for the many other benefits of the shoes.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.

What type of lines are used in competitions? Also how much bounce does a surfline have compared to a jibline?
qwedsable2 7 months ago
@qwedsable2 Bounce all depends on the length of the line and how tight you get it. Longer and tighter=bouncier. So Surfer can have more bounce.

Hola, which is the width of that line? Thanks and greetings from Argentina.
josemariacolito 1 year ago
@josemariacolito Hey, the width of that line is 2 inches or 50mm. I just picked up my own slackline and it's really fun trying to improve my balance.
