:( i wana play this.there are no tabs for this song.. i guess i have 2 play them by ear :( but this song seems so hard and fast. how am i going to play it. ahhhhhh. gotta put in alot of effort in this 1
lovin' it, Joe. You know, I've seen that question quite a lot recently, Why so fast? Well, tbh, as a guitarist of over twenty years experience, I think the answer is simply because he can. He trained to be able to do this. Gave up what most kids have as childhoods to be able to bring us this type of music. I think the real question is, Why even ask that; go and find a slower player who you like. Hell knows, there're plenty of us out there. Millions to choose from! But I prefer Joe, personally...
@gittar1 you know i kinda agree. Some of these guys go too fast. id rather hear BB king stretch out ONE good note than hear some of these do a million. But then again, i still think Tommy E. Is the best there is, bar none. he keeps a good balance. i think Joey here will find his groove soon enough. when he really finds himself as a musician. Give him some time ;)
I dunno. Do we need to have a winner, as such. They are colleagues. I have watched them both jam, inc. once with Michael Fix in Tokyo and, in my opinion, the improv. lead throughout the jam went in Joe's favour. IF I saw it as a competition. We all have our own taste and our own style and I reckon they'd both agree... I think labels like better, best and so on do none of us any good as musicians. They are both excellent- that is all I need to know... Is it guitar music or is it a competition...
That is so the recording you hear is so clear. I think you will find this was shot during a home recording session. To get the true tone of the acoustic, you are best to use ambient mic.'s like this. Yes, it is unplugged because it is recorded with those mic.'s. If it was 'plugged', it would run a lead from pick-ups inside the Maton guitar to some form of amplification. This is not the best to record. This is as unplugged as it gets. The 'phones are essentially foldback so hears the recording...
Very nice Joe!! I've been a fan of yours since I came across your version of Blue Moon about a year ago and have been watching all your videos since...I know you must be very busy but if you get a chance please check out my video..I'd love to get some input from a great player like you!
interesting song, i like the melody but really "unique" harmony with the bassline, i am not sure how i feel. I love your videos anyway, you're a talented man, :) keep posting!
@7680joe You rule so hard dude. I'm 19 and nowhere near your level. What scales should i know by heart to accomplish your level of playing? I need to be there!
Joe you are fabulous If anyone can carry the torch after Tommy E its you. I absolutely love your playing.

Aside from your obvious technical prowess, you play with a real joy which is infectious. It's really fun to watch you play.

Magnifique. Are you playing this unplugged? Why all that equipment, headphones and stuff. It gets in the way of you and the music.
