Love it at 0:15 as Anneka appears on the screen as a whirlwind! Great titles and they remind me of my childhood, so thanks for sharing! Don't remember Anneka being that hot!!
@johncrilly1981 It brings back great memories. Saturday night TV with Noels house party, generation game with Brucey, and this show. And then sundays was Lovejoy, antiques roadshow, keeping up appearances.....and friggin homework which I'd left till the last minute.
What a classic! They don't do TV shows like that anymore. I always tuned in every week to see what task Anneka and the team were going to be set. It would be great to see this back on TV, but these days the word would be EXPENSIVE!
Good times and back in the days when TV was great!
I'm not quite sure why I found Anneka so sexy as a 10 year old boy, but I couldn't wait for it to come on each week! It was so exciting to see what the next chalenge was and to see her dashing around on foot mmmmmmm and in the cool (so it seemed then!) buggy!
@christhesnaildriver Hmm, so did I, think I watched this just to see her when I was a kid, good times, couldn't wait to see what the next challenge was as you said. Wish they would reshow this again, seems all the best shows from the 80s and 90s like this if they are not comedy dramas or sitcoms are rarely re shown on tv anymore
Ha ha ha Anneka Rice was the main fantasy of many a teenage boy in the 80s and 90s in her tracksuits lol she made shell suits sexy. I used to love sat night telly it was the best day of the week Challenge Anneka she was brill. x x
This brings back so many memories! I remember the truck and the buggy and the soundman...I think he was called Dave and can't remember what the camera man was called. Still member their faces to this day!!! She came to Swansea once, where I used to live and did up the Parry Pavillion, and it still stands there today as they did it! Turns out they didn't have planning premission or anything to do what they did. But the council let it slide as it was Aneka! Class!! Bring back Challenge Aneka!!!
It think it was Saturday nights. I used to watch it with my mum, dad and brother! They would stop in some nights just to see if Anneka could complete her challenge! Happy days! =D
Jesus!! TV shows like this were so amazing when i was a kid!! TV is utter shit now compared to what it was like when Challenge Anneka was in it's prime!
@poopoolaroo2 Well said! I couldn't agree more. TV programme makers should be utterly ashamed of themselves now. They seem completely incapable of creating the same quality entertainment, that shows like Challenge Anneka were. Unfortunately the best they can offer now are repeats!!
@poopoolaroo2 I totally agree. Gone are the day's of classics like this. All you get these day's is phone-in, text and or red button shows. all way's of making money out of you.

She once walked into my dad's hardware shop and he told her to fuck off! he was worried she was going to ask loads of free stuff at time when his shop was in the red! and its not like you can say no to charity on camera!
I used to love Challenge Anneka when I was a kid, absolutely love it. TV just isn't as compelling anymore. And Anneka Rice was the first person I ever fancied; I was only about 7 when CA was at its peak!
These days, she probably wouldn't be able to do any of the stuff she did in this prog because of health and safety nonces. And that massive lorry would get firebombed by a gang of scallies no doubt.
Ahhh memories, happy ones at that. It's sad to think that this could never be revived - I just can't see people giving up their time and money as freely as people did then. What do you think? It was amazingly warming and touching seeing people put their time and effort into projects so worthwhile ... And this theme tune is amazing, love it, love it, love it. Thanks for posting.
Who paid for this show? I bet this show must of really pissed off the BBC, every week having to give money away to crappy charities that should of got money from stingy councils!

You would never be able to make this today for so many reasons... Not just health and safty... Budget for a start.
Everyone in the old show did it and supplyed the meterials for free.
You wont get that today thanks to how exspensive everything is today.
