It's a nice idea, but it is performed wrong from the theorical point of view.

You should delay the dessapearence, by clipping the pack, take it away, show the back of the hand, the turn the palm up as you were doing in the setup phases, and the let the audience register the dissapearence, and then separate the fingers of your hand and show suprise.

It's better from the point of view of how to structure a magic effect.
